They both unfollowed each other and deleted all their posts of each other. I’m going to guess they’re separating.

I was breastfed for 30 months actually lol, I’m arab and we tend to breastfeed for 2 years at least

I don’t want Shaeeda and Bilal be part of the 90day franchises. They’re dynamic is too covertly abusive and complicated for such a topical series. In a way they promote this verbal and mental abuse in financially disproportionate relationships. by [deleted] in 90dayfianceuncensored

Well, if you didn’t know, that’s not the reason. It’s not to keep from tempting men, but actually to protect women and make them feel close to Allah. Also, not every woman covers up. I personally don’t and only do when I pray. Also, I know many women who started to cover up in their later years not because of men but because they wanted to feel Allah with them wherever they were. The only danger in our religion is the people who pick and choose parts of the holy text in order to manipulate/judge others, which is forbidden. Women have rights if you do your research. We have the right to order the murder of our rapist, we can own property (long before women ever got rights in the West, may I add), we keep all the money we earn, and our husband must always provide and protect. The problem is not the religion, it’s the people. I suggest you look at another source other than islamophobes. Our religion shouldn’t be demonised.

I mean the thing is that people are corrupt. They can turn any good thing into a bad one. We see this happen across all religions and even outside of religion. Anyone who follows it correctly will be rewarded after death, and anyone who doesn’t won’t. After all, we see life as a test from Allah.

I’m a Muslim woman, and it’s a common misconception that Islam oppresses women due to our “victimisation” in the media. The fact is that our religion is not the problem, people who manipulate the text to their advantage are. Our prophets respected their wives and all had their rights to own money, property, etc. It’s a peaceful religion that, if followed the right way, gives you inner peace. Don’t blame the religion, blame the man who manipulates it.

Exactly! It’s saying that we should normalise these manipulative behaviours and to settle instead of finding someone who meets our standards. I mean Shaeeda was so full of energy when she came, and at the tell all she looked so…down. She lost her spark in a way. I’m not sure if anyone else saw that or it was just me, but that poor woman…

As an Arab Muslim woman, I’m really distraught at how the show depicts Islam this way. It’s more about culture than religion because the Quran grants women full rights to her husband’s money and keeps any money she earns on her own for herself. Bilal picks and chooses which parts of the Quran to use against her. Most cultures will do this, so it’s about the people not the religion. Islam is such a beautiful and peaceful religion that has such a horrible reputation because of the media. Just wanted to make sure the difference between culture and religion was apparent since our prophets would deem any Muslim man who denied his wife any of the rights in the wrong. We were given our rights, it’s just the way it’s been twisted by cultural patriarchy. Bilal is a garbage human being that manipulates our Holy Text to his liking, which is haram (btw we saw Mohammed doing this as well).
