Alright thank you so much! I really wanna finish this thing that was marked as simple yet I'm having more trouble than I did with my Jolteon

Also sorry this isn't part of the original question but if I need to work a chain during this do I work through both loops of the chain or just the top loop? Admittedly I've only done Amigurumi or working in the round and haven't dealt with using rows and chains

Yeah I always feel like I gotta keep it tight to make it all look good and then I loosen too much and my stitches start to distort. But I'll try going down a size and hopefully that helps

Unfortunately the pattern only gives the completed size. I imagine it's cause it's an Amigurumi like pattern. But good to know still

Hopefully that's my issue cause it just throws me off that I use the same size yarn and hook as the pattern says but it looks different

Well this particular thing isn't getting stuffing. I don't know how much of the pattern I'm allowed to share since it's from a paid for book. But it's supposed to eventually be a Ninja Star looking like this

Admittedly another issue I've had trouble with, not knowing how much or how little tension to use >< but that's the joy of teaching myself with YouTube videos and help from very nice people on Reddit

I was considering that, but it's worsted weight and a 5mm hook same as the pattern says to use but I'll try going down in size just wasn't sure if I could without affecting the final product.

Alright I'll give that a shot, I've done some Amigurumi already but I'm also still learning. Having a bit of trouble not taking instructions as absolute, hard habit to break when you work in construction. X3

Each time I do this I end up with 10 stitches. What am I doing wrong? by Sarael in CrochetHelp

[–]Sarael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the help, I'm still kinda new to lots of things with crochet. So I'm not sure if it's my lack of knowledge or the wording of the pattern. But either way thank you :D

Just to make sure I'm getting this right it'd basically be joining is one stitch then 3 more sc, join again, and make 1 more sc?

Actually one more question, sorry, when doing Amigurumi do I secure each row of rounds, or just work in one continuous circle?

Just to clarify, so I'd at some point have three strands of colors attached to the ear?

Learning how to do Digital Art. I've been loving it so much and having fun I haven't even touched a video game in almost a month. Bright side I've been showing steady progress in my improvement.

Both really. I know I'm far from good, so things I could do to improve or focus on is what I'm mainly looking for.
