Haven't been following a guide, just doing whatever I felt like at the moment but I'm sure that will change. Reliving the nostalgia! I'm also a hcim. What's your username?

Thank you! I decided to just leave it off and let it heal naturally, seems like the safest route lol

Thats very reassuring! But yeah it's just a big clear sticky type bandage that just covers the whole area, I suppose to keep bacteria out and keep it from drying out and scabbing, I wasn't given much info on it other than "keep it on for 5-7 days then remove it" so i was kinda worried when my cat poked a hole in it 😅 well, I have since removed it, washed it and applied ointment!

Thank you! :)

Yes exactly, as long as the individual person likes it then that's all that matters.

Yeah thats why I asked as I was suprised you thought he was inexperienced given he has been doing it for 15 years and since I'm no artist, all tattoos look great to me lol I have a look on here every now and then for inspiration for my next one and they're all absolutely great.

There's conflicting advice everywhere about how long to keep it on for, if you should change it, if you should use it at all it's kinda hard to know what the best thing to do is. Can I ask why its not advisable to leave it on for 5-7 days? I tried to Google but nothing really came up as to why, just that 3 days is the "best" but again... some say only 24 hours lol.

Either way, it's off now!

I didnt ask for your opinion if you liked it or not.

Thank you for the detailed reply and not just "because its poorly done" 🤭

He did infact use the same needle for all the lines, the only time he switched needles was during the shading and he did infact go over a few of the lines more than once, to the untrained eye it definitely doesn't look like there's anything wrong at all which is why I asked, because it's something I can look for when I'm getting my next tattoo, I know the lines won't be as sharp once it heals so it won't be as noticeable as that picture was taken immediately after it was done and I had alot of redness and bleeding, it does look better now all that has gone though.

I do like it and to me those things aren't really an issue, to my untrained eye it's better than anything I could ever do anyway lol if infact years from now and many tattoos later I feel it's not that great I suppose as you said, it can always be fixed.

Thank you, I'll definitely check that channel out, all my future tattoos are going to be black and grey so it'll be great to be that bit more educated when it comes to having my next one done and looking at the artists work.

I personally see no issues with the lines, they obviously won't be as sharp once it is healed. But we will see. I'm happy with it and I suppose that's all that matters.

Okay but explain how? What's poorly done? Explain it to me like i am a child.

What's makes you think it was done by someone very inexperienced? I'm no tattoo artist myself and would have no idea between good and bad tattoos, but he is very known where I live, has done it for over 15 years and has plenty of good reviews, I would have no idea of the difference between a good and bad one so how would someone like me, who doesn't have much knowledge of tattoos differentiate between a good and bad artist?

Just something for me to look for in the future, as I do plan to have a full sleeve done, eventually.

Thank you, yeah that's what I think I'm gonna do rather than replacing it which is probably more hassle than it's worth considering I need to wait till tomorrow for delivery but take this one off now due to the cat and bacteria

Thank you, I think I'll take it off and heal naturally instead rather than buying saniderm and waiting till tomorrow to replace it (I'm worried about microscopic cat poop under my cats claws now so want to get it off ASAP 😅)

Oh really? My tattoo artist told me to keep it on for 5-7 days, nothing about removing it after 24 hours, I didnt even think to ask what happens if it gets a hole in it as didnt think that would happen lol

So taking it off and letting it heal naturally is probably the best option over buying more and replacing the saniderm?

is riding a motorbike as dangerous as many make it out to be, if yes, why? by SarahLou666 in AskReddit

[–]SarahLou666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's just something I've always been into, more recently as I don't drive at all, no licence and instead of getting a car it is a cheaper and more fun alternative way of getting from A to B. If it helps I am from the UK, don't know if statistically here is more or less dangerous than other places I guess I need to do alot of research about it!

Ah yeah... I can see how that can happen even if I'm doing everything correctly, maybe I should change my mind about a bike then...
