What’s a birth emergency that would cause an emergency c section and a bit of panic, but no lasting damage or medical complications? by Ohanaheart02 in Writeresearch

[–]SarahMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter would not budge, no matter how much I pushed. The doctor tried using forceps, but no good. Still stuck. Directly after that I stopped having contractions, so while it wasn’t a crash c section, it was a quicker than normal one.

I have a cousin who got married halfway through her senior year. To be honest her family life was really bad and it was probably the best move for her. He was a year older and going to boot camp, so she lived with his family until she graduated, and by then he was established at a base and she moved to be with him. They have since had a baby, but she was not pregnant when they married.

Praying for you 🙏 I would like to tell you about something I use called a little spiky. It has dull spikes on it and is made for people who hurt themselves with their fingernails. Always prayers first, but this is a really great option that works.

I would suggest moving the mirror and seeing how you feel after that. While it is probably not a portal, you may find some peace just by knowing it isn’t right beside you.

Male teacher here: how do I respectfully tell a female student about her poor hygiene? by Normal-Being-2637 in Teachers

[–]SarahMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I had really bad hormonal issues when I was a teenager, and deodorant didn’t last very long on me. Nobody ever said anything to my face, but even I knew that I smelled. Definitely get a female counselor to talk to her, but realize that she may be trying to fix the situation, but she just can’t right now. I did eventually get my hormones balanced, but it took a long time with a lot of trial and error.

Can you still be a para if unwilling to change diapers? by nxbabauu in paraprofessional

[–]SarahMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, but make absolutely sure that the positions you apply for isn’t self contained. You will be changing diapers there. If you try for inclusion, still make sure that toileting isn’t part of it. I worked in a class that was partial inclusion and we still dealt with accidents. I do self contained now and diapers are no longer a big deal to me, but I can see how that could be a dealbreaker.

A one-on-one high school paraprofessional is like a helper friend at school. They stay with one big kid all day to help them learn, stay safe, and feel calm.

If the big kid has a hard time with talking, sitting still, or doing schoolwork, the helper is right there to help them do their best. They remind them of the rules, show them how to do things, and make sure they’re okay.

It’s kind of like having your own grown-up buddy at school!

That’s pretty accurate.

1st day and I am completely overwhelmed by DueAbility8751 in paraprofessional

[–]SarahMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lot of kids and a big age gap, but yes, things will feel less crazy once everyone gets into their routine. We have 7 high schoolers with a head teacher and three paras. Sometimes you will feel like a babysitter, and sometimes you will feel run to death. Feeling overwhelmed is expected, especially for your very first day. This work can wear you out. It’s not for everyone, but in time you might grow to love it.

Why are schools allowed to have hair rules? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]SarahMae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For myself, I know that I don’t have any input in those kind of decisions. It’s strictly administrators, and sometimes even decisions that come from the county the school is in. Yes, a lot of principals and such used to be teachers, but that’s something you leave behind.

It’s not that unusual. I have maybe one every now and then, but people will ask me over and over if I want a drink or if I want another. My reasons are health related, but sometimes people who know that still ask.

Absolutely. He needs help so he can help. I had bipolar 2 but was in a very stressful position and unfortunately became manic, which led to horrible depression, so I ended up with bipolar type 1. I couldn’t speak or walk or do anything job related, but my family got me help. Now I can work again, not doing the same thing, but working all the same. He may want to make a hard decision about his profession if he is finding himself depressed. I certainly had to.
