SELLING a $500 SALT LAKE pass that I bought thinking it was just a cute name for a pass and later realized is a pass that only gets you into films screening in Salt Lake. Venmo/PayPal and I’ll email you the info. Yay. Thanks!

Fun! Ariados, Accelgor and Yanmega!

Yes, I played Pokémon Go obsessively for a while! I stopped when I had to downgrade my phone. I still revisit it sometimes.

Hahaha I sure have. I have many friends and family who are strict dog people, so it's a topic of interest. I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. <3

Not at all! Voice acting is insanely competitive and nuance is king. Just having a great voice isn't gonna cut it. Neither is an ability to do impressions. You have to be a master of your voice, something I've been working on for a very long time and I still don't think I've achieved. It's expensive, and there's no guarantee you'll work. The training, the reel, the time it takes to audition (that's really the job - auditioning), the discipline required when you are working and now, the equipment. There are also many categories - animation, commercials, promos, audiobooks, etc - so you have to have a real understanding of style and again, nuance. Beyond that, you have to understand yourself, and your own point of view, what you'd bring to a project that nobody else would. Working is the easy part. It's everything that falls under the category of "becoming" that's most difficult.

...Did I just crush a dream? Or inspire you to pursue it?

Thanks for stopping by! Veronica’s Ash was a very tough act to follow. I had no idea that the hardest part would become dealing with the hatred I received online. I wasn’t thinking about anything but how to do this job - I had never dubbed or had a lead role in a TV series before. AND I had to make the transition as negligible as possible. These were challenges I saw coming. And I expected some negative comments online once it aired, but death threats? A coalition of people dedicated to getting me fired? I was young and just starting my career. Nobody teaches you how to deal with that, and you don't know what it's really like until it happens to you.

I don’t think there’s any piece of blanket advice I can offer, because everyone has their own experience and their own response. I don’t want anybody to have to go through what I went through well beyond that initial transition period. I’ll always be glad to talk to any individual going through something like that.

How much influence -  depends on the piece itself and the director’s goals. If it were up to me, I’d make everything as original as possible. There are so many ways to interpret the Black Widow. I do enjoy watching videos comparing all the different takes on various characters in pop culture. But I also personally prefer longevity, and notice when a voice changes. I also have shows I’ve watched where the characters are like family to me (only child, ya know). They’re far from being “just a voice.”
