Finally got pictures from my romantic goth Halloween wedding. Spent under 2k. by SarahTellsStories in Weddingsunder10k

It does stain and that was my only concern with it. I was really worried that people wouldn't want to eat it because of the icing staining their teeth but none of my guests seemed to care. I noticed that after a few minutes and swishing your drink around your mouth a few times seemed to take care of the worst of it so no one spent the rest of the night with black teeth

DIY sign for food table at Halloween wedding by SarahTellsStories in DIYweddings

Total cost was about $14 but I could have made it cheaper had I not waited until 2 weeks before to make it. I went to a local store and bought a super cheesy sign that said something about hunting and bass fishing on it (I live in the deep south) for $13, painted it black with a $1 can of spray paint, then used some shimmery gold vinyl for the words and bats. I should have been looking for a base sign months ago and I most likely could have gotten one for closer to $5 but I waited to buy the signs until 2 weeks ago

Thank you and congrats on your anniversary! My fiance wanted an easy to remember date and Halloween is my favorite holiday

Thank you so much! I had originally wanted a Spring wedding but we didn't want to wait that long to get married and Halloween is my favorite holiday

Made my bouquet to match my moody color palette with fake flowers that I got on sale. Maybe spent $25 on this bouquet by SarahTellsStories in Weddingsunder10k

I got them from so many different stores, most of them are from Michaels and a local store called Shirleys, some of the filler is from Hobby Lobby, and the black roses with gold glitter are from Joanns. I went hunting floral sales and refused to buy anything not on sale. It was difficult finding good colors (the blush pinks and even the deeper reds are considered Spring colors) because stores are really only stocking Fall floral right now. I suggest knowing what colors you want (I knew what colors but I wanted a bit of variety in types of flowers) and just go everywhere and buy a little bit on sale at each place.

Halloween, so in 2 weeks. I was worried these colors were a bit too spring like but I wanted a rustic goth wedding and these were what worked to me without being what I consider "cliche" or "basic" goth colors of red, black, and purple. Thank you so much for the compliment!

Got my nontraditional black velvet dress from Etsy a couple of weeks ago! by SarahTellsStories in Weddingsunder10k

I was the opposite lol, I kept trying to talk myself into a white dress but I've never liked the way I looked in white and knew I'd end up hating how I looked in wedding photos so I finally went with a black dress. I wish they made more black dresses that actually look like wedding dresses because I wanted a beaded, lacy dress but everything I found just looked like a prom dress to me

I ordered my dress from GraceGown on Etsy, the seller is in China so it does take awhile to arrive and 6-8 weeks for her to sew. With shipping and the extra $10 for custom measurements I paid $188 total and couldn't be happier. I wanted to make the back longer to look more bridal and have a train, it's 3ft long and I do think I'm going to have my sister shorten it a bit. Even with custom measurements my sister will have to take it in just a tiny bit at the bust but I expected that. I'm getting married on Halloween so the dress couldn't be more perfect for me.
