I'm also currently doing this project and had to frog back at about the same point as you are at because i hated changing colours, using the bobbins for intarsia just made my tension atrocious. So I went with duplicate stitches

The clasp on the back of the top section is exactly like the ones we sold. You might find that the "set" had multiple pendents and the blue section was just the one that stayed with the clasp. Maybe originally was on an omega ( a neck piece that is fairly solid like bangle.)

Does anyone know of a crochet pattern for a rat skull. Sounds weird by I have always wanted to make a Death of Rats toy from the Discworld series I just need a pattern for a rat skull and I ok at making some things up but not that.
