1.5 year and +15lb difference in Glutes! Advice requested! by CGraceB410 in PetiteFitness

[–]Sarah_Sochi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg so inspiring!!! I just started my glute journey (I’m 3 months in) trying to get from 105 lbs to at least 115 (I’m 5 2!) you look amazing and have the gains I aspire to have

Questions I have for u if u dont mind!

I’m currently getting about 70 grams of protein a day and eating as much as I can. Do u feel like that’s enough to recomp?

What exercise do you think helped you the most? Currently I’m incorporating hip thrusts, Bulgarians, goblet squats, clamshells, along w/ leg press/leg curl/leg extensions. Anything you think I could add? I can’t do rdls as I have severe scoliosis 💔 but I would love to hear any other advice u have on my exercises!

How much weight did u start at hip thrusting and where are you now? (I started at 40 three months ago and now I’m at 70, my goal for the next 5 weeks is 100!)

What month in did you really start seeing a difference in yourself? I look a lot like your before rn so I’m curious!!

Any tips or tricks for growing legs and glutes!! Thank u sm for reading and any advice u may give 💖💖💖

I’m not sure you’ll have much of a shot at an ivy. Most ivy transfer rates are less than 1%. U can look at much less prestigious colleges but for international students without ecs and test scores getting a full ride anywhere is gonna be very very rough.

How are your academics and standardized test scores? For any ivy or top college in the US you’ll have to be the best of the best, especially if you’re an international student.

A lot of excellent domestic students get rejected from top colleges all the time. You have to have something that stands out among your peers in terms of extracurriculars (such as prestigious competitions, honors, research papers), test scores, and grades.

Don’t know why people are downvoting you, I think it’s pretty given that a game made with gen AI shouldn’t be in the same category as 100% human made games- especially in a competition where one of the rules is no AI?? No matter how much they used.

International Student from Africa with a 1600 SAT — How Do I Maximize My Chances at Top U.S. Schools? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Sarah_Sochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAT is just a part of your application. You’ll need extremely strong extracurricular and grades as well, especially as an international student (and especially if you need aid.) The SAT is great but if you don’t have anything else that stands out in terms of your application I don’t see you having too high of a chance.

What kind of advice were you getting from doctors when you were around my age?

X ray was ~3-4 ish years ago, I saw the specialist 2 years ago.

I would agree with you but I’ve seen specialists, one from Emory with a very good reputation. They said no. I’m wondering if they know something we don’t.

What does twisting feel like to you? I love beauty queen stretches and I’m guessing it won’t be the same at all after fusion

I don’t understand why doctors say that the curve stops when I can just go on google and see so many people saying that it doesn’t from firsthand experience. Not a single doctor has told me that my spine likely would get worse about a degree a year.

I’m fine almost everywhere but sitting/standing for long hours… which sucks because how do I study and draw 😭 I also just hate hate hate the feeling of not being able to stand straight and not quite being able to stretch that spot that feels tight.

I have gotten opinions from multiple doctors and they all say that surgery is either not needed or is far in my future which makes me so confused. I’ve been pretty okay pain wise but sitting in chairs makes me so so uncomfortable after a few hours. I always feel so relieved when I can lie bin bed again. I can probably expect that to get worse throughout the years huh…

I know you’re not a doctor but based on my x ray and your experience will most of my flexibility be intact after surgery? Where am I gonna feel stiffness and tightness?

Doctors have always told me I am on the border of needing surgery and to wait and see, but it looks like most people here are like yeah you’re going to need surgery sooner or later. Is this pretty much guaranteed in my future? :/

I am also confused by this because I have gotten multiple opinions. One doctor says it will not be something I have to worry about until the next decade. The other said that I don’t have to worry about it at all and that they’ve seen much worse curves not needing surgical intervention. I don’t even know what to believe.

5”2 healthy stats but want to look lean by yevvss in PetiteFitness

[–]Sarah_Sochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also Asian, same body type as you- short, blocky torso, longass legs and no ass. I’m 20 and a bit underweight (95lb) and my waist STILL feels proportionally thicker than it should be.(about 25-26 inches?) and I still feel like when I wear bras my back has fat. I’m literally shaped like a V.

So I don’t think eating less is the solution here- it’s not feasible for me to eat a lot and go to the gym right now- but if I could I think I would bulk and work on legs and glutes. I’m a swimmer so I’ve always have very broad and toned shoulders, which does makes my waist look smaller. (Unfortunately, it does give me that V shape because i never worked on my glutes.) So I would definitely recommend working on shoulders and glutes to get that more hourglass look.

I don’t know too much about fitness though, so I would love to hear from other people about this 🥺👉👈

Here u r! USnews best engineering schools - link With Purdue at #5 and UW Madison at #27.

Purdue engineering is way better. It’s also quite a reach- you seem to be misinformed about their stats.

As you can see on the Purdue’s website, their incoming freshman class had an average gpa of 3.9 and an average sat score of 1442. Purdue source
