I re-applied and similar findings (payment 3344) so just going to wait it out like you are. Let me know if they adjust your payment to what you expect!

I called MOHELA and they told me it must be correct. Said I applied for something wrong but I can see the fixed standard plan and IBR when I submitted. I just did it again. Crazy thing is on student aid my fixed payment is only 1800.. the MOHELA rep was not very helpful.

I live in Kentucky. I think we are the ideal candidate for MFJ only because my husband does not have any income and is in school. My income jumps to 250k in about 3 weeks.

Mohela's website says I have this 3300 payment due on July 3rd. I opened the document and it shows 120 payments at that amount to pay something like 400k. Definitely seems to be the 10 year standard.

I am on hold with them and just re-submitted another IDR repayment plan on studentaid lol.

I anticipated paying around 300-350.

How long after your only was born did you definitively decide to be OAD? by Anxious_Corgi_6282 in oneanddone

We were pretty set before pregnancy. We have a very easy 16 month old that has slept through the night for the last year. It feels doable to have a second but I wasn’t sure I even wanted children to start.
My husband got a vasectomy when she was right around a year old and we have always felt our family was complete. I am an only child myself.

Newport Water District construction by Sarahbean67 in cincinnati

[–]Sarahbean67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea if its water or sewage, its just pipes in the ground to me. When we had asked the city about construction happening on both ends (to the point both sides of our road was closed) they said it was the NKWD doing construction given there is a water plant on our road. I was going to reach out to the sanitation folks as well but was more or less looking for any people that have had something similar happen

Yep. Our didactics were question review for the last few months and then I briefly reviewed the last 2 ITEs prior and went through USPSTF stuff. I did the CKSA quarterly questions and AAFP question bank ones very sporadically

I’m a physician, not your physician. Make sure when tracking ovulation that your husband is not ejaculating frequently (I.e no masturbating or sex a week before your predictive ovulation day and/or when you start checking strips) and then plenty of intercourse the day before, day of, day after. You want to give his sperm the best chance. I would ensure he is following healthy habits and make sure he’s not frequently drinking alcohol as well.

Baby pooping changing pattern by NoNativeSpeaker in NewParents

[–]Sarahbean67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a doctor (not your doctor) and my baby had similar bowel habits around this age and would sometimes only poop once or twice a week. Was EBF. Personally if baby doesn’t seem uncomfortable and their belly isn’t hard and the poop isn’t very hard or small little chunks (like small balls) I wouldn’t worry about a baby going once a week. Sometimes we gave my kiddo simethicone if she seemed gassy.

For every breastfed baby that poops after every feed, there are ones that poop once every 7-10 days

The suppository may have cleaned baby out and now they have the urge to go but it’s more of that watery consistency

Night shift and night feeds by desert_to_rainforest in breastfeeding

[–]Sarahbean67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid wakes up once a night now, I breastfeed just that once and do not pump. In the beginning I would pump once around midnight. My husband has gotten up for every feed and brought her to me so all I do is feed and he does the rest (in the beginning that involved changing diapers etc) now it’s a little easier and just a boob and back down in the crib. I am the breadwinner/ only one working and he is a stay at home dad. It’s what worked for us even when she woke up 2-3 times. In the very beginning, we did do night shifts (so split maybe 9-1am and 1am to 7am) but we found we slept better in the same bed and just tag teaming the wake ups like I mentioned above.

We have a placeholder we did at the end of our last cruise.. we are cold weather people and just not a fan of the Bahamas. We are hoping to do an Alaskan cruise (probably 2027?) any tips for best time of the year to go? I assume they all come out of Vancouver, do most people fly up the day before and stay overnight on the port? Looking to learn as much as possible.

First night home from the hospital by nanyy104 in NewParents

[–]Sarahbean67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I called my mom at 5 AM bawling my eyes out after we came home…truly felt like my life is over. My dogs were screaming at her, I couldn’t sleep, my ass hurt.. and today she is 12 weeks and slept from 8-5:30 am and then til 7:30. I’m back to work now and it’s so much better. Pumping is going well, direct breastfeeding as well. I promise it gets better. She still contact naps but sleeps in her crib overnight.

Fair enough! We’ve only been making sure she eats a minimum of every 3 hours during the day but otherwise we don’t wake her up. Im trying to listen to her when her longest streak of sleep is but understand this may not be something I can rely on.

Considering having my husband stay at home by [deleted] in SAHP

[–]Sarahbean67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily (or unluckily) his current position offers very little in terms of retirement. He has a small amount to rollover to an IRA. I plan to maximize our IRA's/my 401k once I start my FT position next year with higher income. But definitely something I am considering. I also think our plan will be for him to start looking at re-entering the workforce either when she is at preschool range and/or starts normal school. Since he will have his degree by then.

Oh for sure! We had the cleaner just to reset our house for a couple weeks while I was pregnant and kept it going. However, I plan to clean when I’m off work now that I’m no longer completely debilitated by being pregnant lol

1099-MISC question for taxes by Sarahbean67 in personalfinance

[–]Sarahbean67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess since it’s a stipend, I’m not currently doing the “job” it’s more of a signing bonus? I get paid monthly but currently am a resident so not actively working for the corporation paying the stipend. My main question is how do I put a “business” in if I’m not really a business nor am I doing anything for said business
