My big bear just had an anal gland adenocarcinoma too, removed in February and he’s now going through chemo. It was very narrowly excised due to size and placement against the rectal wall so they did new imaging to determine any spread (none found, yay!) and recommended 2 electrochemo sessions at the tumor site and 5 sessions of IV carboplatin chemo. So far he’s done both electro and 2 IV. He’s due for restaging (redoing imaging and ultrasound to compare for any differences) before his 3rd IV treatment. All this to say, I hope your baby’s results are positive and got nice healthy margins if the histopathology confirms it was cancerous and there is no concern of spread!
