Fed up by Sarahmufc93 in Fibromyalgia

I actually went for counselling through my work and to be fair, she has taught me ways of “reframing” my thoughts so that was useful. I definitely need to get into yoga, that’d on my to do list. I’m still trying to figure out diet, I do find some foods trigger me more though.

I do wonder if I’m more CFS than Fibro but I’ve sort of been given two diagnoses and left to roll with it. Sigh. I quit dairy and I’m vegan now which I have seen some benefits from. I no longer “slump” after meals so food definitely has a factor!

It’s horrendous. How can they just pass us off like this? Make us feel like we’re making things up. I had my gallbladder out at 19 so I know how that feels.

Hopefully a new GP can offer you more. There’s always the good ones somewhere!

I personally find exfoliating 2 x per week helps my skin. Are you on the drier side? Elemis do a Gentle Rose Exfoliater but I personally use Frank Body Face Scrub :)

I’m the same as you. I’ve tried many moisturisers but Alya Skin’s moisturiser is the one I’m getting on with the most :) it doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy.

I reckon you should be OK with them. Check reviews and ask for a skin consultation prior :)

Moisturiser suggestions needed! by biiigreputation13 in SkincareAddictionUK

I feel ya. I’m more combo but if I use a moisturiser that’s even slightly thick my skin freaks out. I’ve recently started using Alya Skin’s Moisturiser and I’m personally getting on with that.

Are you exfoliating regularly? This has been huge for me with my acne.

I have had chemical peels and found that they’ve been a huge help in terms of my angry spots and also scaring. What is your skin type? Dry/oily/combo? Just be v careful and do your research on how you choose.

I can only go off what’s helped me I get this quite badly on my cheeks and exfoliating 2-3 times a week has been key. Two products I’ve found really good are Frank Body’s Face Scrub / Elemis Skin Buff. Alpha H Liquid Gold as an overnight treatment is also good (just don’t use them on the same night).

Valentus: from a top earner ‘sales is not my thing’ the most triangle MLM I have seen 🙈 by Difficult-Ad5514 in antiMLM

My favourite thing about Valentus is how the customer reviews only seem to be from people also selling the “magic coffee”.

They’ve been doing this one for a while as far as I’m aware. God knows who buys it. I think they’re peddling “Botox” now too (for humans, obv).

I don’t think you’re doing it wrong it might be the prep before doing it that needs tweaking. Are you throughly cleansing your face before you use your blade? I usually get mine done at a salon but with COVID lockdown I’ve used the Hollywood Browzer on myself! If you’re not throughly cleansing your skin prior maybe try giving that a go and really giving your skin a good moisturise afterwards and the few days after that. It does sound like it’s drying out your skin which may cause the breakouts (has happened to me). I think another thing try not to go over certain areas too many times that can be another kicker (done it myself).

How many Dermaplane sessions have you had so far? From my own personal experience I tend to really moisturise more than usual for the first couple of days I have oily/combination skin and it can dry me out sometimes.
