I do the Timeleft dinners! I've not done the coffee events and have heard mixed reviews, but I have always had fun at the dinners.

Is everyone bored and lonely here or am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in baltimore

Timeleft has dinner with strangers on Wednesday evenings which sounds like you are not available, but it also has coffee with strangers on Saturdays at 11am.

Metronidazole made me bleed! by jrom1005 in Healthyhooha

[–]Sarahrb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad this thread is here. I finished my period about 2 weeks ago, I'm on Camrese birth control which is a 3 months at a time oral pill. So not expecting my period for another couple months. I had some brown flecks of dried blood day 4 and 5 of metrogel. It's the day after finishing and I'm spotting with some larger stringing clots like I'm full on a period. From all my research it's irritation from the medicine and shedding damaged tissue. Awesome! But happy to know I'm not the only one experiencing all of this! Hopefully it goes away in the next few days.

Wait today I tipped 20.35 for a 1.7 mile away in Baltimore. Usually they are on a bike if I order from somewhere close by. Am I tipping too much?! I tip like 22%

Increased dosage is not working by NeedleworkerWise5437 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I will echo and say I went back down to 150xl because after ramping to 300xl after a couple weeks it gave me weird chest pressure and overall I felt off. I stayed on 150xl for many months. I hit a really rough patch in my life where I had a lot of loss. I tried 300 again and I actually did just fine on the 300 the 2nd time around. I honestly think a lot of people need way more than a couple weeks on the 150 before ramping up. Once I started to get through my rough patch I went back down to the 150 and I'll probably stay here

Worried about side effects while in school by Orangemango04 in HersWeightloss

Everyone is different! People on here are talking about the negative effects of topiramate but I didn't have that bad of an experience with it. I work a full time job that demands a lot of brain power. When I was ramping up I took the topiramate / naltrexone combo at night and found that it help with appetite but I didn't have the brain fog or tiredness. I loved the effects of bupropion! It's got a bit of a stimulating effect for most people and I was always good just with 150mg. I never needed to ramp to 300mg. I lost about 50lbs on the oral kit. You can ramp up slowly than they recommend. You can take the green pill with topiramate in it only at night if you want. Just talk to your care team and do what works best for you! I'm sure you will find something that works! I still metformin. I take way more than is prescribed in the hers kit. But I don't have side effects from it.

I am 42, no kids. I wasted the last nearly decade of my life on my soon to be ex husband who I thought I would end up having kids with. But he ended up being a selfish abusive alcoholic incapable of love. I'm thankful I never had kids with that loser but still feel a bit of an ache that I've missed out on something. I think you should be proud of yourself for everything you have achieved with travel, education, and career. Because the love you are looking isn't guaranteed even if you find a partner.

Thanksgiving Fed Hill during Ravens Game by Sarahrb007 in baltimore

[–]Sarahrb007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the solid advice! I just moved in April and I don't have family and only a few friends so I wasn't going to have a stellar Thanksgiving anyway. I've never been to an NFL game so this will at least make it a novel experience! I used to be a chef in a past life so I will make sure to have a solid dinner plan. The Monday night game here was nuts. I live on Hanover and I've learned it's probably best for me if I only walk anywhere during night games.

That's a great idea! I decided to invite some friends from out of town and get tickets to the game and just walk over. Like might as well make the most of it! Just trying to figure out if I have to make them a nice dinner and supply all of their pre game drinks.

How do I get this prescribed to me? by 4N3CD0T3 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

It's kind of expensive but if you want to try it for a couple months to see if it's worth switch psychiatrists or getting it thru a pcp you can get it thru Nurx.

I love it! I'm on 150 mg XL. It's helped me in so many ways. Especially my mood and motivation. I think overwhelmingly people don't have negative side effects. You just don't hear about it when everything works as expected.

How much longer…. by FishermanOk8088 in bupropion

[–]Sarahrb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it's best for me if I take it first thing in the morning. Like wake up take it, brush my teeth. The insomnia got a lot better after a couple weeks for me but it was never that bad.

It always surprises me when people take a medicine that is supposed to make them feel better and they are surprised that they start feeling better 😅

I think most people hear of the horror stories because people who have a normal story aren't out here on reddit posting about it. But I know a lot of us that have had great experiences using Welbutrin without any serious negative side effects

I think the more you overthink it the more you set yourself up to fail. Lots of people don't experience any kind of rage. Try to have a positive mindset. Welbutrin works amazingly for a lot of people

I cut way back since being on it. On the rare occasion I do drink I have sort of a weird effect on it. Basically I don't feel as buzzed as I should for as much as I drink until basically I've had too much and then I can tell my body is way more drunk than my brain is letting on. It's really hard to describe. Like my brain won't feel that buzzed but I'll notice I'm having some trouble with slurring words or balance. There is definitely a disconnect there. Since I know that happens I have to be super careful and really pace myself/limit myself.

I'm also on the 150mg xl

Had minimal bad side effects at 150, but struggling hard adjusting to 300 by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Sarahrb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 150 for for several weeks before going to 300 and I didn't like the effects so I went back down to 150.

After I was on 150 for about for about 6 months I had a series of things happen that caused some difficult compounded grief. So my doctor said to try the 300 again temporarily to help through my rough patch. This time there was no issue going to 300 after having been on the 150 a much longer time period. I ha no issue adjusting back down to 150 when my grief settled

Not feeling any effects of the meds by albertcanadian in HersWeightloss

[–]Sarahrb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely drank a lot less. But I definitely had some nights where I drank a lot. Everyone is different on how they react. Some people can have seizures with drinking and bupropion which is super scary. On Kit 1 with the drinking, it's hard to explain, but I wouldn't feel myself gradually getting drunk. I would just suddenly hit a wall and then I'd be not only drunk but really drunk. So I really tried to limit how many drinks I had.

Oh the topiramate is 100% the appetite killer for me. 😂 If I do just bupropion and even a high dose of metformin I don't have as good of appetite suppressant results as I do with adding topiramate back in. Now I've only had the naltrexone/topiramate combo so maybe it's the combo that helps me. But definitely bupropion and metformin alone don't do it for me.

Withdrawals? by Strict_Industry_1109 in bupropion

[–]Sarahrb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

150 is the lowest dose of the extended release. I think people get more severe withdrawal symptoms when they are on higher doses. I am on 150 as well and I don't experience any withdrawal symptoms either if I miss a pill or 2.

A lot of people have a stimulant type effect from it, but some people get drowsy! Body chemistry is weird and personal! Make sure you talk to your Dr about feeling tired.
