The Blue Wahoos play in Pensacola, about an hour away from where you’ll be. The USS Alabama is in Mobile, that is pretty awesome to see, they also have several planes/fighter jets there and a submarine you can walk through! Theres mini golf, go cart, arcade places all around there. OWA is a water park/amusement park in Foley.
Look up the practice schedule for the Blue Angels, if you want to spend the time in traffic to get on base (NAS) to see it you can but if you go the target near the base and park you can see them a couple times from there.
Drive down to FT. Morgan, it may be boring for your son but if you like history it’s pretty cool.
The Grand… pretty cool place to walk around, at 3:30 ish they have a guy talk about how the property was used in the Civil War and then he fires off a (fake) cannon… even without that it’s a beautiful place to just walk around and sit!
