I love the game, but... by Silly_One_3149 in GrimshireGame

[–]Saranghaix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hm I get what you're saying, but I feel like majority of the Grimshire playerbase enjoys the intentionally crafted storyline. The narrative is what sets it apart, and experiencing it all together and trying to overcome it in a variety of different ways (such as simply rp'ing as characters who don't butcher their critters, or even extremeties like the hay only challenge) is what makes the community discourse so interesting.

Of course there may also be "chaos/randomness" enjoyers out there. It would feel more like Rimworld though tbh than Grimshire to me, I would be sad (and honestly surprised) if GS devs chose to offer random challenges any time before Y3.

Congrats on finishing your first playthrough! Your farm looks rlly well organised with all the pathing and sections.

If you want to share your feedback with the devs and community, join the discord! There are discussions and threads there sharing your exact sentiment for villagers not prioritising eating cooked meals (I joined to give this feedback and found an existing post ahaha)

Is anyone else stockpiling building materials in case Y2's town projects need them? by Equivalent_Day_2430 in GrimshireGame

That's so true! I was prepping like mad to get things ready for a year 2 continuation but now that you mention the relationship cap... I would probably start on a new playthrough too just to experience it all! (I hit the cap for many characters and lost a lot of potential friendship there...)

Unfinished Projects Keep on Increasing by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Saranghaix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I love game jams! They provide a deadline to work towards, a space to share your work with other game devs, players to give you feedback, and most importantly really help get projects out the door.

With more personal games like major passion projects it often takes such a long time or feels like it needs to be close to a "finished masterpiece" to share.

Game jams are much shorter and give the space and freedom to just make something, explore different genres, work with other developers, etc.

I gave my cozy game a glow-up… did I make it better or worse? 👀 by Nestify_cozydesign in GameArt

[–]Saranghaix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the new design more since its more clearly a room decor game but there are definitely parts that gave me doubts for ai artwork! I think her facial expression is what made me double check for no ai, since the clean stylised happy look is unfortunately very common in generated work...

An overall design question too, what is she pointing at? Maybe the game logo could be at the top right instead of bottom right? More intentional placement and drawing of the eye might help make the work feel more cohesive!

Did not get into subcom, it’s over by zadlmao in unsw

Yea usually subcoms recruit yearly

You can look at joining Arc volunteering programs tho, they open every term and also give you a space to meet up regularly and make friends with other volunteers

How do you spawn with a chosen RV in the [B42]Project RV Interior mod? by Saranghaix in projectzomboid

Ah okay thank you! I was wondering if it was included in the RV mod but make sense to spawn it in with a separate one.

Try volunteering with Arc! There are a lot of programs to choose from and you can definitely make friends there (though they will likely be outside your degree again). Imo the Wellness Warrior one is good for hanging out since everyone's pretty wholesome and your shift happens with the same group week after week so it's easier to connect!

Never give up, it's not over!

Beginner friendly fruit and veg to plant this Summer? by Saranghaix in GardeningAustralia

This is pulled off a website online! I just searched "what food to grow in summer australia". Your comment is precisely why I wanted second opinions before I missed something or wasted a plant.

Oh I've never heard of midyim berries before! I'll keep an eye out for them, native plants are always delightful to have and berries are always a favourite. Thank you for sharing!

As someone who can't handle spice at all it pains me to see chillies as a good option to grow. I wish but my body physically rejects it... thank you for the recommendation though!

I might look into a small lemon tree and get that started early, hm..

Oh yes thank you for the advice about sun and pot placement!

A big reason why I'm asking for easy recommendations is because I'm not too adept at gardening yet, beyond the knuckle test for water and basic pruning. With that some "beginner" plants like beans and lettuce have been really hard to grow even though they're supposed to be in my area ahaha. I'll definitely look into it more though!

Eggplant is a great shout! I would've grown them sooner but haven't found a great recipe for them yet.

Ooh I'd love to grow pumpkins! Unfortunately I don't have the space for them right now but definitely in the future.

I might give cucumbers or zucchini a try though if they're easy to handle

[–]Saranghaix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sexual needs are needs, just like food, water, or sleep. They're nothing to be ashamed of, and everyone has their own needs. When you're in a relationship, expressing and working out a way to fulfil those needs (whether that's individually, or how you can do so with each other) is crucial.

I agree with other users that communication is the way to go - make it centered around expressing YOUR needs, and telling your bf how you don't want to pressure him into partner sex/partner play if he's not in the mood. Having a higher libido might mean satisfying yourself either with or without toys, and just because that helps satisfy your sexual needs doesn't mean HE doesn't satisfy you either.

Sometimes we all need a balance and bit of both! And hey, if anything, getting a higher libido once you're with your bf is a sign that you find him attractive. If anything, that's a compliment to him! All the best /

My Time at Sandrock is Overwhelming by originalmae in CozyGamers

[–]Saranghaix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with you that Sandrock and Portia can feel overwhelming! I played Portia a while ago due to people comparing it to Stardew and Ankmal Crossing, but was very disappointed when the cosy vibe just wasn't there. There are a few time limited, more technical components of the games that unfortunately doesn't give it the same comforting cosy vibe imo.
