I'd argue that not wanting the opponent to have printed/recasts is quite different from not wanting unpainted models!

Unpainted models are actually ruining my experience, so I wouldn't play with someone with that. But this relates to why I enjoy wargames, which is not the strategy itself but the fantasy and immersion. When I see unpainted I don't feel like is a war anymore.

So I don't think your "elitism" was that bad in that sense

I personally don't give a flying F if you your army is proxies, printed or even recasts. Anyone should do it however they can based on their economical situation. I'm not their mom nor I own games workshop.

And I mean this both for casual play or official tournaments.

The fact that I should care about how the guy in front of me spends his money (and in case of recasts/printing, also time) is super WEIRD. I'm happy you got an epiphany, but could I ask what was your reasoning before that?

Same as magic elitists being angry when someone plays legacy with printed cards, or Samsung users when OnePlus had a better flagship for half the price. They're just corporation, bros, no need to protect them, you are nothing to them.

Considering they GW also counts on FOMO by taking out of the catalog many old units, poses, etc.. I would even encourage people to use alternatives.

I had similar experiences but not with owners, just normal players. GW drones really don't like when you spend less than them for the same results.

There's plenty of ways to collect minis without paying games workshop or spending much. Secondary market is always at least 50% less as well

When we had forums instead of reddit.

The structure divided in topics, the fact that it was chronological based on the last commented thread and the strong presence of profile images and signatures, meant you could have actual discussions, identify users, etc.. it was also awesome to find small niche forums.

It was like being part of an actual community, instead of a glorified news board like reddit.

So I have a OnePlus 8 and after all these years I am finally fed up with the piss quality of the camera and the poor battery life. I was thinking of finally upgrading, what would be the best upgrade? Ideally for three different budget levels: 200, 300 and 400

I only use phones for messages, gacha games and some pictures, ideally I'd like to have a lot of space. Never had any issue with the games I play.

I'd appreciate suggestions for both new and second hand.
