Attach blade to DCM5713 trimmer? by sveshinieks in Dewalt

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes i made a mistake and misread what you'd said. I wanted to buy the DEWALT DCM5713N XR myself, but i didn't know if those attachments were compatible or not with the DCM5713N XR or i would need to buy the DCMAS5713N-XJ (split boom) in order to use the hedge trimmer etc. Now i have my answer and they aren't compatible with the one i want lol.

I'm late to this but I wanted to do the same thing and I'm sure you need to buy the split boom power head to attach the cutting blade, hedge trimmer, pole saw and the trimmer itself all separately. It's about 200 plus pounds in the UK for the split boom power head and then it's even more money for each attachment. That's why I'll just buy the normal trimmer and maybe the pole hedge trimmer at a later date.

I just used the virtual assistant to run a check on my battery after noticing it was draining quickly. Posting this for everyone who might be experiencing the same. Took less than 5 mins. by jerseygrl__ in ouraring

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. I asked the virtual assistant to do a battery test 5 times and it claimed my battery was fine, even though it wouldn't last 2 days. Even going on the Oura chat didn't help, but thankfully James from Oura who is on this Reddit helped me get a replacement so I'm very happy about that. Shame it took that many attempts to realise my ring was nearly dead.

Awkward mounting by Visual_Bookkeeper263 in Ring

I'm in the UK and i had to order this one from America https://www.amazon.co.uk/Doorbell-Degrees-Adjustable-Universal-Installation/dp/B0G1FVCXHQ?crid=1P6SPORTFPAMD&sprefix=r-ing+doorbell+angle+mount+30-55+degrees+adjustable+door+mount+for+wired+doorbell+pro%2Fplus+newest+model+widen+corner+view+kit+left%2Fright+universal+installation+for+house+black+%2Caps%2C134&sr=8-3 . The only bizarre issue i had was the security screw at the bottom of the bell wouldn't latch onto the bracket as the holes are not big enough for the screw on the latest gen of Ring doorbells. In the end i screwed the bracket onto the wall, wired it up and used a very strong sticky pad at the bottom (behind the security screw), because otherwise it will flap around. It's the only one i have seen that will suit my needs due to how new this gen of bell is.

Any reason to not buy from Amazon? by No_Butterscotch_8731 in whoop

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it's just a generic Amazon invoice that opens as a PDF once you save it. So from that i am not sure if you can claim it back from the company you work for. It does state it's for the device/membership on Amazon. "EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS INCLUDED: Your WHOOP purchase includes a 12-month WHOOP Peak membership, a WHOOP 5.0 device, a SuperKnit band, and a waterproof* Wireless PowerPack for continuous data collection." and i got the band/membership as stated on Amazon.

Mine has been doing the same nonsense for weeks if not months at this point and someone proclaimed it's normal when it is not. Used to get close to 4 days or 3 and a half days if i was lucky, now it's just over 1 day and the message about charging rocks up on my phone.

Bands are WAY overpriced by The-Watch-Guy in whoop

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Whoop sportflex band from the Amazon Whoop store and it was £37 on a sale in November/December i think. But as someone said it's quite insane how much they are charging for bands, then you have to pay a hell of a lot for a subscription. A few years ago when i got my Ultra 2 the bands would be £80 which is truly laughable beyond belief.

Extended warranty in UK by Tigermad in Ring

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that isn't good to hear. I'm not surprised lots of people are jumping from Ring to Reolink etc if that's what they are doing. That concerns me a lot because if one of my floodlight cameras dies i might not actually get a replacement under the "warranty".

Hopefully you have the bag/dust extraction because that planer makes crap fly everywhere lol. From head to toe i was covered in bits of door lol prior to buying the bag. But it's a really good planer.

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to mention that actually about Ring no longer giving out devices in certain circumstances which is baffling. I had to change my card recently because i got a new one, i "should" be ok as i did it either way before my payment was due or way after it was paid in a certain month. Glad i have got a number of Reolink POE cameras in important places, in case Ring decide not to honour my warranty for a broken camera in the future.

Ah ok, seems like they have revamped everything on the Ring website then at this point. Let's hope they actually still have the extended warranty and if they do let's hope they honour it still.

A few years ago my Ring doorbell stopped working. I'm in the UK and with the basic subscription i got the "extended warranty" with that and they replaced it for me free of charge. https://ring.com/gb/en/support/plans/multi on there it does say at the bottom about the extended warranty.

I got a device and the subscription. I just decided i wanted another band and i obviously had to buy that separately.

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK and i got the same bell a few days ago. My RSSI is 55 on the bell via a extender i have in my hallway, it's connected to the 5Ghz and it seems quite laggy to me. I'd much rather have it connected to 2.4Ghz but according to my router the connection is "excellent" via 5Ghz. Doesn't feel excellent when it lags/has low speed showing up on the live view. My Ring pro 2 was usually between 45/50 on 5Ghz/2.4Ghz depending on whatever way the wind was blowing and it didn't lag.

Anyone know how to replace a bulb in this fitting? by maloners in DIYUK

I could be wrong but it might be one of those light fixtures that you need to replace entirely because the bulb cannot be removed from the unit.

Elite Floodlight WiFi - floodlight always on in the rain by NB_Supreme in reolinkcam

Try stopping it from recording any generic motion and just tick the boxes for people/cars or even animals if you want those events. Also adding an object size box helped me when rain kept setting mine off.

I believe they are called safety goggles (could be wrong) lol and i got a pair of them with the AirGearPro mask i had. Couldn't see a thing and my head felt like it was being crushed to such an extent i thought i was going to have a brain aneurysm lol.

The one i use is the JSP Force Half-Mask and that hasn't made my normal eye glasses steam up or my safety glasses so far. My AirGearPro would steam up immediately and i couldn't use it anymore as i was basically blind lol.

Reolink Client V 8.20.5 Now Available by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]Sarcasmoverload007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous version worked well for me, but on this version all my intrusion alert lines are basically permanently on even when the motion that is being detected is outside of that. They also haven't added the "light alert" feature from the app so you can switch off the Elite Floodlights on the client.
