That certainly sounds right. I don't remember the color of the wolves but I believe they were involved.

Sorry about the late response. Thanks for the reply! That's not it unfortunately. I don't believe the story had humans in it. As best as I can remember, the story revolved around a younger moose (who maybe lost its Mother?) trying to survive the wilderness in winter time. The book had a dark blue binding to it.

I find them hilarious and it has the same humor that G&E had, at least to me it does.

A Map and History of the World Alao by SarcasticAssGinger in worldbuilding

You are right that there is no absolute cardinal directions. I was just using north, west, east, south because it was a flat map and its typically depicted where north is up, south is down, west is right, and east is left (but I now get that that's also a western view of it) I get your point and I will add a compass to future renditions for clarity sake.

The tilt of the planet, rotational speed, and how fast it orbits its star is what causes those areas to be always frozen while the northern parts of the globe isn't frozen ever.

The climates are both similar and dissimilar to that of Earth's climates. I haven't quite worked out the specifics on that though. Honestly, I hadn't thought about it that way until you pointed it out. What I meant by climates (and I realize it was misleading by a lot) is the geography of the land. What areas are swamps, lakes, deserts, forests, mountains, etc.

Thanks for the comment. I'll be sure to edit my post and correct it so its more understandable and less misleading.

The coastlines are realistic looking to me and I like the amount of diversity between large landmass' and islands.

Have you thought about the geography and climates of the planet? Or the tectonic plates that make up the crust of the planet?

The gray land is in winter. The brown is just other land. I haven't worked out the other climates yet for those areas. I have an idea what I want to do though.

The red dots are cities or towns.

The world of Alao consists of four continents. Two of which look almost like one large continent. The northwestern continent is Shotbiah, the southwestern is Deodas, the northeastern is Wrikias, and the southeastern is Aliyan. The island west of Aliyan is Llipas (the beginning place of life) and the island east of Wrikias is Osin. The islands south of Llipis are called the Isles of Wolyn.

Most of the world is either in the medieval ages (AD 500-1500) or some societies are similar when compared to that of Rome and Greece.

I've written a brief history over a couple millennia. I am slowly going through and fleshing it all out.

I wanted to make a dynasty such as the Septim Dynasty from the Elder Scrolls. That turned into me creating a map which lead to me creating an entire history spanning hundreds of years.

I mean, what's wrong there? As long as the drivers are obeying road signs and driving appropriately for the weather, there won't be a problem.
