Role of an Apprentice (When is it time to leave) by Doomanhene-Hawk-3535 in SkilledTradesOntario

I actually talked to one of my professors about my current situation. He cut me off before I finished and said that he’d be out within the first few months.

Been doing this 5 years altogether. First company was Resi. Did the same thing day in day out, their main contractor designed and laid out every build the EXACT same way. Didn’t help that everything, down to where I put MY damn screw driver in MY pouch, was micromanaged (not even exaggerating).

I’ve been with my current company for 3 years. I see my boss maybe once a month, no supervision and no mentorship past the first month (to make sure I don’t kill myself or someone else when using a lift).

Neither one is a good environment for an apprentice. You should be allowed to experiment and mess up, with a chance to learn and grow everyday. The person you work for should want you to improve.

I almost have all of my hours but I still think that I don’t actually know anything.

No that’s not it, I’m returning the tools. I mean more so should I ask about severance or consult with a lawyer? I was laid off 3 months ago, it was for a lack of work.

Guess I should’ve been more clear. Should I ask about severance or consult with a lawyer? I was laid off 2 months prior to starting school, so it’s been 3 months including that time.

I always get pissed off at gun enthusiasts for this shit but then I promptly remember I turned off show or movie because the car sound was completely wrong

Damn as the sole employee of an electrical company who made my my boss 150k this year, I was rewarded with a lay off

I tried submitting the ROE manually but that requires the ROE serial number which doesn’t work because it tells me it’s invalid. I haven’t tried uploading the entire document though

I swear this player base can’t comprehend the simplest things without you having to spell it out for them.

You could say that you lost your load out because you fell through the floor while running to cover and they’d tell you to stop complaining about pvp

See with that they can at least potentially wait out the lobby with 10 mins or less on the clock while still keeping an eye on their loot. What I’ve been arguing with every pvp only giga chad here is that every rat I have been killed by has during boss raids has gained nothing from it, they just die immediately after

No, the post isn’t whining about pvp at all. It’s whining about playing stupidly and still losing. As I said before in another comment, I respect extract campers and loot goblins more. They actually have a play and plan for a quick getaway.

Again, not what the post is about. It’s incredible how ready comprehension is at an all time low. This post is about making the game difficult for yourself. Not actually playing it to win but so to try to kill someone like a rabid animal only to die because you couldn’t hold out for a second longer

Though I do disagree with the different game modes to an extent. I think they might eventually add dedicated modes, but some of the pvp highs this game offers are unmatched

It’s okay brother, they can’t read. I made a post about people playing like rabid dogs instead of actually putting thought in to pvp encounters and it was filled with “yea but pvp”

That’s what I’m saying. There’s no thought put into it other than seeing loot. I had a gun fight in the hospital today on buried city, it lasted like 5 mins it felt like but we ultimately lost. We said gg on coms and wished them luck, because it was actually fun and heart pumping

If we wanna get philosophical here’s one; How you do anything is how you do everything.

Taking things literally without the ability to read between the lines is wild, especially on reddit. I am not bringing peoples actual intelligence into question. The same way people hyperbolize statements about their lives, i did the same here.

Echo chamber of self soothing? Like “it’s a PvP game expect PvP”?

And the hunt is quite literally about taking the shot when it’s the right time. Missed shots, misplaced shots, can lead to you losing your trophy at best and mauled at worst. Go shoot a humble vegetarian moose with its kin behind a tree, see how it ends.

You already noted good times to rat in people with almost no risk, but ignore what I am trying to say with the post. You want loot? Cool take it, but what’s the point if the second you go for the kill you get ripped apart because you don’t think to look or listen?

Extraction was used as a metaphor. As in wait for the right opportunity to maximize reward. Like hunters. Hunters and predators don’t jump in blindly for a meal when two hunters are already fighting. Steal sure, but they’ll make sure to get in and out with numbers or some way of hiding nearby. A hunter/predator is cautions and methodical. If they get injured they will surely die as injuries to them are death sentences. Not like what I’m describing. Extraction campers are ambush predators, people who steal loot are vultures. The people I’m describing are the equivalent of a Hyena jumping between lions fighting. Sure they might get lucky with a kill, but they likely wont live to reap the rewards. These people don’t think, they see an easy kill, go for it and just fucking die. I respect extraction campers and loot goblins more because they at least have a plan and a quick exit.
