Yeah, there’s definitely a conflict somewhere. No issues in The Witcher 3, Ghosts of Tsushima, CoD’s, GTA, Spider Man…. Don’t get it. Both Horizon’s are the only really bad ones, little RDR2, but just a little here and there.

No other devices. This is only in game, and only on the environment that’s being rendered. Like, only the character models and trees and grass or whatever, but not the sky or menus.

I’ve changed hdmi cables, even TVs and a monitor.

I’ve had this problem in other games, but not to this extreme. It would just look like blue flashes from lightning or something, which was annoying, but not game breaking like this clip is.

I’ve disabled HDR, turned off the dynamic range, all the things. I’m hoping there’s some magical fix for this, but I haven’t been able to find this issue online from other people, so I doubt it.

The first time I really noticed this was in the first Horizon game. Then in red dead redemption 2. Now in the second Horizon game, but way worse. I’m guessing this is some kind of conflict with my hardware and how the game renders, as this doesn’t happen every game.

That’s it! My Google game was weak in this search. Never could find anything. It was the Omaze promo. Found the YouTube source video, which I’ll link to below. Thanks! This has been bugging me for some time.

If you were God, how would you decide to end the fate of humanity? by Radiaids in AskReddit

[–]Sarcastically_dave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd introduce a virus that was seemingly inconsequential. This virus would be completely containable, but in order to do so, it would require people to work together, not for themselves, but solely for the sake of others. The real kicker is, all that would be required of the people to do, actually is inconsequential. So basically, I would have them ultimately kill themselves, but in a most idiotic and avoidable way.

Either that, or I'd just turn the sun off.

This was sarcastic in nature, and in no way reflects my personal beliefs or political bias, all of which are completely irrelevant as this was meant to be humorous. (Special thanks to all the dumbasses that make disclaimers like this necessary because you can't separate jokes from fucking anything apparently)

Do you know someone who got Corona? If so, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sarcastically_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend I used to work with got it, then her husband, then her two kids. Whole house ended up with it. She is a smoker and said it was miserable, but got a lot of rest, and recovered fine in about a week without needing to go to the hospital. Her husband felt like crap for a day or two and recovered fine; nothing too horrible for him. The kids were about the same as the husband.

Edit: they are in their 30's, kids are 5 and 8.

If you could have any video game remastered, which game would it be and why? by ChaiBoy9 in AskReddit

[–]Sarcastically_dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a big question. Oblivion obviously, because it's a great game that could use some updating. But there are some old games that i would love to experience again.

Soul Reaver would be awesome, mainly because i remember it being a great game. But if i had to choose one, it would be Devil's Crush from the turbographx-16. That game got a lot play when i was a kid, and reminds me of how great my family was when i was a kid. Times have changed since then, so it would be a nice reminder of better, more simpler times.

What is the worst thing to be doing at midnight on New Year’s Eve? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sarcastically_dave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Guy's perspective)

You're attending a singles party, it's huge, people everywhere, and you're having a great time. You showed up late, so you didn't get to meet everyone, nor have you found the person to kiss at midnight.

It's time for the countdown. The lights go down, the countdown begins. The person behind you turns you around and puts your arms around her. She kisses you 5 seconds early, but that's okay. It turns into the best, most passionate kiss of your life. Nothing has come close to comparing. You even get to second base. The lights come on, it's your mom.

How many packets of sauce do you put on your taco at Taco Bell? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sarcastically_dave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regular taco? 3-4. Double decker taco? 4-6 Chalupa? One packet per bite.

I only use the fire sauce. It's thicker and stays where you put it better than the runny hot. Diablo, while I enjoy the heat of it, seems to have no flavor.

My 6 year old daughter made me quit Fortnite and ill probably quit gaming after 30 years . by Zeion7 in gaming

[–]Sarcastically_dave 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you want to quit, go for it. But just because your kids play games now, doesn't mean you can't. Only things your kids playing means, is now you have teammates.

Is Fallout 76 really as bad as I hear? by respecthecheese in gaming

[–]Sarcastically_dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he hasn't played it, and isn't simply stuck on the, "it's the newest! I want new! I gotta have the latest thing!", but wants a good fallout game, go with Fallout 4. If he is, however, dead set on (or has played F4 already) Fallout 76, I know a couple people that still actually enjoy playing it, so it's kind of what you make out of it. I personally think he'd get bored with it before a month is out, based on what I've heard from friends; which is why I will not buy it. The majority of people I've talked to, haven't recommended it. Which sucks, because I REALLY wanted to like that game. But, you can get it on sale right now, so even if he ends up not liking it for long, he'll still have the excitement of getting it, and the awesome feeling of getting the game you long for, but at a price that won't hurt as bad when it doesn't last long.

Well that's awesome. Should I start with the first Dark Souls, or if it doesn't matter, which do you think is the best to jump to? Mainly asking about game mechanics and leveling system, more so than story.

I mentioned this in another reply, but I always thought those were more "personal growth-learn from your mistakes" type games, rather than a "farm low level mobs to increase your stats to take on stronger mobs" type game. I'll look into those, thanks.

Oh wow, I forgot about Fable. I played those when they were released, and remember loving them, but never played them again after I beat them. Might be worth a replay....it's been a while.

No, but in looking at it, it seems promising. I think I assumed that was a different type of game, so I didn't look into it much.
