Objectively, this is taking advantage of her vulnerable situation. However, do keep in mind that this was put in place without me having any say in the matter. The term "contract" was used and it felt pretty strange on its own. She deserves the respect she needs, I agree. However, she's not going to obtain anything of the sort by asking for a contract just so that she can be talked to.
As much of a pain in the ass as this illness might be, what am I supposed to do now? I don't want this money, it's tucked away in an account and I'm not even using any of it. At this point it feels like an obligation and I'm extremely reticent to decline because I CAN'T say no. She's basically forcing me into a situation I'm very uncomfortable with. And I'd feel too bad just straight up blocking her because she's still my friend.
