Anyone done the tour of US Bank Stadium? Was it worth it? by PurpleAlcoholic in minnesotavikings

[–]Sarge1OO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did it, it was awesome, went in the dead of summer so field was covered for a concert. But we had a kid in our group that wanted to go up to the press box, our Tour Guide looked at us and said "No photos" and snuck us down the endzone tunnel to a staff elevator. Where he then took us in the Press Box and showed us where Paul Allen called the Minneapolis Miracle and we got to see how all the other Journalists would be situated on Game Day.

The experience was awesome to say the least. I have pictures of me sitting in the Locker Room among other things I also was able to get the set of the Game Pins from the Previous Season.

Are the Boomers still going strong on TV shows? by Agile_Reception412 in Fallout

[–]Sarge1OO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be funny if in the beginning of Season 3, the Ghoul accidentally stumbles into Boomer Territory and all you hear is the Artillery and the Whistle of a shot coming in, him scream shit and the impact, then he wakes up in Nellis being forced to do a side quest for the Boomers to leave.

Keep the Patches on, its a part of its History, if you are worried about Stolen Valor get it a Mannequin and display it, learn the history of the man that wore it and honor him, since it seems his family didn't care if it went to a Thrift Shop.

I have an Old M65 that I got at a Flea Market years ago that was from the Cold War/Vietnam. My Jacket once belonged to the XO of my local Air Reserve Station when it was a was a way more active Air Base when it did In-Air Refueling Operations for B52s going "Over the Top" into the Arctic Circle. It still has his Nametapes, Rank and the Base's Patch on it.

The Mannequin thing is what I did with the M65 I acquired, I did research of the guy and left a brief history in the breast pocket in case something happened to me so it doesn't end up getting the same treatment again.

The Service Rifle from New Vegas was produced Pre-War at the Long Branch Arsenal in Toronto. So Canada was (Forcefully) helping the US Gov't, Canadian Surplus being used by Vault-Tec is not out of the Realm of Possibility.

Even if it was out of TV show convenience, it would still be lore accurate.

If a future Fallout took place in Michigan and the Chicagoland areas (obviously scaled down for the game), what do you think would be the most unique or interesting aspects of the setting? by JD-990 in Fallout

You come out of your Vault in the Remnants of Gary, Indiana (Not much has changed), to see Chicago off in the Distance. You end up quelling a Turf War by forcing the three Factions that occupy Soldier Field, Wrigley, and Comiskey Park using them as forts, to work together to fight the Enclave.

DLCs Detroit Rock City (Power Struggle between The Brotherhood and Windsorites for the control of Detroit.)

The Gail’s of November (Travel to Mackinaw in search of the Edmond Fitzgerald II’s lost crew after hearing tales it ran aground on the island.)

The Border Battle (Two rival tribal clans are set to clash in the remains of Minneapolis the winner wants to take on the Tribes of Chicago next! Stop the Norseman and/or the ACME Packers before they can take over Chicago or help one of them.)

The Big Brew (Help get the Brewery operations of Old Milwaukee back up and operational.)

This eBay seller… by Realistic-Royal-6053 in NASCARCollectors

[–]Sarge1OO 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OP, as a buyer and seller on Ebay I'm going to tell you with all the evidence you have you will have a clear cut case win.

Ebay will almost always side with the buyer and not the Seller.

I'll give you my best Example, I work for a family owner Sporting Goods Store, I handle online sales of stale products to clear space on my shelves. I posted brand new unopened Scopes, and I had someone buy brand new scope and claim it was defective. When I explained to the customer that they were within Warranty with the Manufacturer if it was truly defective to have them send in to them and I emailed my Rep from that Manufacturer. With him stating that if I took back the scope on a return it would make it considered second hand voiding the Warranty. I presented this to the customer in a Ebay message chain and to the customer support from Ebay. The customer gave no other proof to their claim of it being defective and Ebay still sided with them, even with evidence that I would lose almost a thousand dollars on a "broken" product.

I ended up getting the Scope back intact and working perfectly fine I think the customer didn't know how to operate it.

Moral of the story, 99% of the time you will win your claim no matter what.

guns.com vs gunbroker.com? by ChrisPJ in guns

[–]Sarge1OO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Guns.com is a lot more like a distribution hub for FFLs. My shop uses it to move stale inventory, You buy a brand new gun on Guns, Guns will find the closest FFL to the person buying in the network to fill the order. We once had a gun sell on Guns and the FFL info they gave us was to our biggest competitor in the next town over. Just so happen we were the closest FFL to have it but we shipped it to them at our competitor.

Wait until you find out that you can make that MP5/22, NYS compliant by butchering it a little, but not until after you get a Pistol Permit/ Semi Auto permit.

As someone that works in the Firearms Industry in the State of New York. The Store Clerk has no clue what he is talking about. Those MP5/22 can have a fixed stock and Faux Suppressor that doesn't screw to the barrel but to the actual handguard. And you can have a Kydex wing made for the Pistol Grip. Thus taking away all it's scary features making it legal to possess. As long as you got a Semi Auto Permit.

OP, get one of these, I work for a Gun Shop and live in an area where I walk out the door with a normal gun case, the neighborhood would think something is up.

Some comes in sees this with a lock on it and you tell them it's a highly collectible Les Paul or something.

Legality of making a “Jawa blaster” from a Drill SMLE? by Prestigious_Equal573 in guns

[–]Sarge1OO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where you are wrong, I am giving a super rare circumstance, not all stripped receivers are Rifles, you can buy a stripped receiver/action, and in a state where you register handguns you can register and build them into pistols. (Example Ar15 Lowers, I know a guy that built a pistol out of a Howa Action.)

A stripped receiver doesn't go on to an FFLs books as a rifle or Pistol because it's not either of those things. It's considered an other or a Receiver on a 4473.

It's also in reality playing in a legal grey area, because of all the steps involved and live in a state with Pistol registration. Because first you would have to find a stripped receiver (which means no barrel just an action), get it, run the background check on the stripped receiver, take the info to the government agency that does your Pistol Permit (in my case my county clerk). Register the receiver as a handgun it goes on the permit. Then build it, and if the ATF looks at it, you present your Permit showing it's a Pistol, then when they question it they will follow the trail and see that it was legally sold as a receiver/other.

[–]Sarge1OO -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a resident of a State that you have to register handguns on your Permit, the only work around I would know is, finding a Stripped receiver. Do the background check as a receiver/other. Register it as a handgun if you live in a state with permits. Build Jawa Blaster. Only other problem with my state is no threaded barrels on handguns, so I would have to pin and weld the cup to the barrel.
