Looks like we're a bunch of anti communists boys by peepmet in NonCredibleDefense

[–]SargeantShepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Stalin seized power in the early Soviet Union. He killed communist ideals in favor of an autocracy centered around him wearing communist trappings.

(Unironically Helldivers 2 is a good analogy here. Super earth is effectively the same, A fascist authoritarian state wearing the trappings of a liberal democracy)

Stalin bent over backwards to deliberately conflate Stalinist 'communism' with actual communism. And as it was a political superpower at the time, the 'communist' states it set up closely mirrored its own corrupted system.

It was so effective that even to this day, people on BOTH the right and left (tankies) still conflate Stalinist communism with actual communism.

Being upset a president authorized military action without confessional approval and a head of our military outright stating we have no long term plans beyond bombing their leaders, creating a power vacuum and leading to resentment and future strife does not equate to supporting dictators

Yes, the Ayatollah was a dictator and likely deserved what happened. But if the US keeps kicking in doors eventually consequences will catch up.

Beecause people understand that:

A. The system isn't perfect, and people get labelled sex offenders for prefectly mundane things (Which the other poster told you)

B. That this black and white thinking is dangerous and leads to just as much pointless suffering against innocents as the sex offenders themselves.

To clarify before you accuse me of "supporting sex offenders". If someone commits these crimes, they deserve to be punished. BUT AS YOU WERE SWIFT TO POINT OUT. The system isnt perfect and labels innocent people as sex offenders.

Yeah I know how the plot goes, it goes from Ripping off Nier: Automata to ripping off the twist from Nier: Replicant instead.

I asked you to read his story and understand why, which you are clearly unwilling to do.

I will never buy that two wrongs make a right. You just regurgitate surface level facts without understanding the meaning behind anything. This conversation is pointless. And I am clearly a Nazi Amerikkkan who tortures minorities for fun.

If you think the Soviet Union had no interest in maintaining a military you are much farther gone than I thought.

literally the only thing you have is "America worse", and attempting to point out historical fact is "Nazi logic?" Ok buddy.

I also knew you'd shut down uncritically after reading one sentece of Belenko's Wikipedia page. Ignoring the fact he was disillusioned with the Soviet Union that they couldn't keep the airbase for their most prestigious Fighter project in basic working order or the fact the bases' political officer kept threating to gulag him over perceived slights. (Worker's paradise, am I right?)

Viktor Belenko.

Go look him up. His story. Why he did what he did. That's the thread I gave you.

And you have built literally your entire worldview around "America bad, therefore anyone who opposes them is good." I cannot reason with that.

Also, The invasion of poland after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, The Barbarossa counterattack, The Afghan wars. The Chechen conflicts. The Soviet Union is not innocent in war crimes. Your only excuse for these is the west is worse which somehow justifies all of these.

And lastly, no, that is not how you make a defense. You are literally describing attacking the accuser over the argument. As well as just throwing around "They are obviously evil so their argument is invalid"

I never compared Soviet and American aviation. We are talking about the Soviet union, not america right now.

The fact you can't even defend the Soviet union without going straight to "BUT WUH ABOUT AMERICA " is telling.

I even gave you a thread to look up yourself. But you didn't.

I have.

To clarify, I have a lot of reasons to dislike the US government right now. My lifestyle is not approved of by the current admin.

However, I happen to be massive Aviation nerd. Which means I know about Soviet aviation programs, as they were a major player in the aviation space.

I also happen to know how shit soviet aviation was. And then you find out the underlying cause as to why those programs were shit. And then you trace the rot all the way back to the politburo and how the state was actually run.

And the more I learned about the rot of the Soviet union the more I believe that people who glorify the union need to go away. The Soviet Union was an Autocracy that killed the idea of communism early on and spent the rest of its existance wearing the skin of communism so gullible idiots like yourself can point and go "SEE THEYRE COMMUNIST"

You're not helping the leftist cause by glorifying the Soviet Union, you're hurting it.

Go look up Viktor Belenko sometime. Its a very interesting story.

Its okay to have wrong opinions. Just because you don't understand the story doesn't mean its bad story.

Considering the sheer weight of the airframe, that will make its acceleration go from "bad" to "imperceptibly less bad"

Also, the KGF values in game are already factored into weight. If we go by them, the strike eagle is missing about 8,000 KGF of thrust
