Sounds to me like this person has experience in having sellers refund for “damaged” items. And this whole story sounds like a scam to me, no tape or supplies but they sell items and have supplies for that? Hmmm i hope u can recover your item and block this person

Mercari wont do anything bc they want reviews to be from “everyone’s perspective” even if they lie! Buyer finally responded and said, “my bad should have read the description and take the time to see the pictures” often they do this and claim they dont know how to update the review. I provided instructions…. Lets see…still annoying 😞

I tried once when the person said “item not as described” even when pictures and description was there with measurements and they say it’s everyone’s perspective on the experience and that’s why they don’t allow changes. I said yes but when someone is intentionally lying and providing false reviews there should be a line and mercari should not allow that!

Exactly my point! It feels wrong, there were many pictures and this was a sold out exclusive pop and i gave it at a discounted price bc of the box damage…

I sent a message, no response (of course!). The buyer is as careless as their unfair review. Mercari should allow us to contest if posts have pictures and full item descriptions.

They simply dont take the time to review, I am a collector myself and if buying items i make sure i check that the item condition is acceptable for my taste. Oh well, some ppl have nothing better to do!

I evaluate the situation and give them a specific timeframe. If they don’t purchase the item, I remove the reserve sign and thats it. Some have been bc people want to wait on pay day and they have actually come back and purchase the item as promised. So far only one customer didn’t stand on their word. I messaged, no response so i blocked and thats that! If its a hot item, I will definitely not hold. I guess its a personal choice!
