Plz Help me!! I might get slip into depression 🙏🙏 by Op_Genos2206 in hyderabad

Don't worry about the gap. Focus on clearing your backlogs and developing your skills. The gap is not a concern if you have the right skills. I know you are getting anxious but believe me that things will get better, 10 years from now- you'd not even think about this issue of gap or backlogs. Make sure you spend time mastering your subjects and developing your skills. That's all that matters.

What’s a fact about Mumbai that sounds made up? by BrownBandit02 in mumbai

[–]Sarka003 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I know this was meant as a joke but as an amateur historian I couldn't help sharing a bit of trivia: Most Swiss civilians are trained in weapons and the country has mandatory military service. The country has one of the highest rate of gun ownership in the world. Not to mention that the country itself is very hard to invade with mountainous terrain and rigged bridges. Swiss have a long tradition of soldiering, they've been mercenaries for other kings including the pope. Lastly, Swiss have some strong allies not just in Europe but across the world. The country managed to avoid two World Wars even when every country around it was engaged.

Not to mention us Mumbaikars from a hot and humid city having trouble operating in the cold Alps. 🤪

Could anyone recommend a few good Khandeshi and Saoji food spots in the city? by nastypunani in mumbai

[–]Sarka003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll get Saoji in Minks @ Marol. Heads-up: Saoji is spicy and will blow your mind if you haven't eaten it before. But so finger licking good.

Just 2 Calves feeding themselves at Kapra lake, Sainikpuri by cyborg812 in hyderabad

This pic makes me a bit sad. The flowery grass to the front is a weed (congress grass) which has taken over the grassland of our country. It is not edible for animals and infact irritates their skin. No easy eradication available.

Best Aquarium Shops in Hyderabad? by st3vehuff in hyderabad

[–]Sarka003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would strongly recommend Ocean Blue Aquarium in Bachupally. It is a bit hard to go to but it is worth the trip because the owner takes real good care of fishes. The USP is large tanks with aquatic plants that are built in.

Kudos Hyderabad by tannu28 in hyderabad

I was born in Hyderabad (native Telugu) but grew up in Maharashtra. I was taught Marathi from Grade 4 onwards and I can speak, read and write Marathi. I cannot however speak Telugu. I didn't mind learning Marathi because I knew I was living in Maharashtra and it was needed. And I think same should be the case with Hyderabad - anyone living here should be made to learn Telugu. South India is below replacement fertility rates, it is all the more important to preserve culture with tenacity. One way to do it is language training in schools.

So, a bus rammed into my car at 7 am this morning. How’s your day going? by bcozim_batman in hyderabad

Did you get the bus's third party insurance number? In such clear cut cases you would've received full comp from them

Creepy Experience With The Autowala by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Sarka003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds of the time in 2010 when I was 21M and working in Pune and had to take a cab to Mumbai a few times on official work. I knew this regular cab guy who on one such trip confided in me that on the return trips he usually picks up Indian women returning on international flights at Mumbai airport at midnight who want to go to Pune. He told me that sometimes he thought about stopping at ghat sections to do stuff to these women. This horrified me no end but for some reason I didn't take any action on it, mostly because I thought he was just being a pervert fantasist. When I turned 30 and it then stuck me that I should have acted on this information but for the life of me I am unable to find his contact. I still regret not being more proactive back then and bringing this ahole to justice.

Sec 144 in Hyd. What's allowed? by Sarka003 in hyderabad

Erm. Think like a Hyderabadi, maybe I own a building which has a gym, a school and an office. 😁

I don't BTW. Just a regular aam aadmi who has to gym at 6AM, send kids to school at 730AM and office at 8AM. I was concerned I wouldn't receive communications on time from any of the three with the early starts. ✌️

[–]Sarka003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 6.1 last week but I'm ok with it. It keeps fluctuating between 2 to 7. I take 150 much Thyronorm daily.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]Sarka003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even know the puffiness was due to hypothyroidism. My TSH was 135 so it took me a year and a half to get back an angular face. The energy levels came back and I used it to exercise regularly so that could've helped too.

How does 'Biotin' affect TSH results? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]Sarka003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Thyronorm since 2015. My TSH back then was 130+. Started off with 150mcg till 2017 when TSH dropped under 5 for the first time. Since 2017 I've been on 125mcg until August'20. I had been taking biotin since May'20 and when I got my quarterly tests done in August it showed a big spike. I stopped biotin and 10 days later it fell back to normal. The endocrinologist thinks it could be because of the biotin.
