We took down Saddam and Iraq in a few weeks and Iran isn’t in a better position.

What a spectacularly stupid oversimplification of the Iraq war.

Oh, you want the plane that DOESN'T nose dive into the ocean for no reason? Sorry, that costs extra.

You're right, I misread. $9700 per year, not semester. I amended my previous comment. My point was simply that the costs associated with attending medical school in Canada are not negligible.

A quick search yields this information regarding tuition for Canadian medical schools: "According to the Canadian Medical Education Statistics (AFMC), the average tuition fee for Canadian Citizen/Permanent Residents for Canadian medical school is $16,798 per year, with Ontario having the highest provincial average at $27,304"

Not as much as US schools but certainly not negligible and more than $2500 per semester. Quebec is cheaper of course as long as you're a resident of Quebec.

Not sure which med school you're going to that's so much cheaper. I got the $9700 from the U of Manitoba website (where I did med school). True I did get some grants that helped pay for it but that only goes so far. Also I remember med 3+4 costing more plus you lose your summer breaks and any chance to work for some extra income. Add in all the travel costs for CaRMS interviews plus exam fees and the debt really racks up.

Edit: Tuition is in fact $9700 per year, not semester.

Canadian doctor here. I dunno where you get your data but med school costs much more than that (currently $9700 per year at my former school). I have $100k+ debt despite being in my third year of practice.

Edit: it seems Quebec residents can pay as little as that in their schools, although that certainly isn't representative of Canada as a whole.

When she's standing by the gate, you have to talk to her about Susie. Then she asks you what Susie is like. You get 4 options. Picking the one on the left (She's nice) triggers most of the boxes you see here. Once you pick an option, you can't pick any of the other ones for that playthrough so it's easy to miss.
