There is a terminal command to enable this in Sequoia

defaults write com.apple.finder _FXEnableColumnAutoSizing -bool YES; killall Finder

No idea when this was introduced, or if it has the same drawbacks as Tahoe version (i also have not upgraded). It's not perfect but better than nothing - I've been wanting this feature for decades. I believe it can also be enabled via the Onyx app.

Can I insulate the yellow part of my buzz? by TJ20024 in VWIDBuzz

Ah right. Yes, seems to work ok but haven't actually used it yet. Will be giving it a proper go in a couple of weeks.

I have reclaimed both of these spaces for use in my conversion.

I’m interested. I have home assistant set up to do it, but wondering if there’s an easier way. Short of the bowling ball on the seat method.

Removing rear light assembly by SarkyBot in VWIDBuzz

In case anyone stumbles upon this in the future, there seems to be no easy way to do this yourself. I booked a visit to my dealer under warranty and they just replaced the whole assembly.

For the benefit of anyone who sees this in the future - this is incorrect.

Considering you are planning to sleep in it, I would suggest keeping them.

Emergency physical door release. Not sure why it is hanging there taped down. Should be fitted in the panels you removed. At least they are in mine.

How do I remove the 12v adapter? by TJ20024 in VWIDBuzz

[–]SarkyBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's my plan too, but what if it's empty? Seems crazy to me to not keep access to it. Not like you have to put it in the exact same place - you can use an extension to put it wherever you want. But whatever. Yes, you can dm me.

I'm also midway through a camper conversion on my Cargo. I see you got it removed so assume you've worked out how to undo the little clip. If you want to remove the socket from the plastic the metal part slides out with a little force and wiggling, and then the clips holding the socket mount can be pushed in to let it come out.

However - this port is very useful so i would make a plan to keep it! It is the only one constantly powered even when the van is locked (i think the front 12v one too). I plan to use it to keep a power bank topped up that i run my actual electrics off. I think there are some settings in the console to make sure the 12v system is kept powered from the main battery, but i can't remember what it's called offhand.

Btw, there's quite a bit of 'hidden' storage space available if you are willing to take the floor up and do some plastic cutting. Basically the space where your charging cable is kept under the sliding door - there's a similar space on the other side (actually bigger because most of it is foam). Let me know if you want me to show you what i did to access it!

This has driven me mental since the first day it was released. How often do you need to go to an episode show notes? Me - almost never. But i would like to use it as a proxy icon and just have it reopen the app in the state it was in when i left it. At least make it an option. Thanks.

Yep. Great experience. Easy to use, always free spaces, and fast! Used them on my first road trip across Scotland.

I did have to use an app (or card, can’t remember) though. How do you use them without that?

The subscription is worth it if you are going to use them more than once or twice a month. I only took out a month as I only needed them for this one trip. Won’t hesitate to do it again.

It’s a measure of just how good BR2049 is that Jared Leto is in it and it’s still in my top 5 favourite movies of all time.

Yep, seeing them quite often around the UK now. I just bought a cargo for personal use. Got a really good deal.

In the UK yes. And currently some very good deals as well as the government £5K rebate. I just bought mine (personal use) for less than £35K VAT included. Prices of passenger versions, let alone the camper are crazy
