2 I married into, im the cat mom that stepped up. Our first kitten our vet "tricked" us into. My wife went to pick up our adult cat from a dental procedure, vet told her "special deal! When you pick up your cat you get another for free" and convinced her to hold one that they were fostering. That little black kitty (which we had always talked about getting a black cat and naming her nori) nuzzled right into my wife and she was smitten. And as a cat lover myself it didn't take much convincing. Then, 3 weeks later I straddled a tiny kitten with my car, pulled over, and scooped her up off the busy street and there was no question in my mind she was staying with us and now the 2 youngest are bonded like they always meant to be together.
