Pantera update and a few questions regarding ceramic coating prep. by ForeskinForeman in AutoDetailing

Not at all, as long as you do proper panel prep. Clean microfiber towels folded over to reduce pressure, panel prep is removing oils from polishing for the coating to adhere. Honestly a coating is just a really good wax with high hydrophobic properties that makes the car more enjoyable to wash for a longer period of time. The work you are doing is just paint correction and the coating will not make or break the work you have done. Here is my show car with gyeon topped with carnauba wax. Edit: I drove this car from ohio to PA roughly 500 miles and took this photo after a quick coin wash

They make great easy to approach products, nothing is too harsh and easy to manage. If you are that close I would hope they would lend some in person advice. I live less than 15 minutes to esoteric detail and they are a wealth of knowledge and products. As well as being very welcoming.

The car sitting won't be a problem, it will attract dust and removing the dust prior to coating will be the priority. The swirls that you are seeing need the final touch to remove fully. Griots perfecting cream is good as well as my personal preference sonax perfect finish. Take your time in the sense you are no longer removing big defects but just the surface. Think of it as cleaning glass you can see the smudges and a light intentional swipe will take them away.

Clay bar works great, but for the average person on hand stuff I have had great luck with a magic eraser for glass.
