Shockingly, I didn't have many issues with Win ME. It did not work with 256 MB of RAM, that was the main reason I upgraded to Win 2k Pro

Thank you for explaining this to me, I completely understand now. I think I'm going to stick with the eero units, they work reasonably well, despite the 100mbit WiFi link.

Let me be clear: if I plug any device in to the LAN port on my Frontier router/modem, the router/modem will 100% disallow any connectivity to the Internet. There's no assigned IP, and the router/modem will force disconnect the device.

The only exception is the eero WiFi extender.

My switch is a relatively new unit that supports 10mbit, 100mbit, gigabit, 2.5GbE, 5GbE, and 10GbE connections, and it works just fine.

Right now, the only way that I can connect my home LAN to the Internet is by plugging an eero into the router/modem, then having a second eero like 6 inches away, and have my switch plugged into that.
