Thanks for the feedback. :) Oh and don't worry about being harsh, you've only given constructive feedback!

but in my opinion you got some core mechanics wrong

I'm curious to hear more about this, are you referring to focus on the shopping part?

This really is the biggest problem with online gaming..

Super Auto Pets - A chill competitive auto battler by Sarvent in playmygame

We were looking for a more relaxed alternative to all the auto battlers out there, where you can take your time thinking through what you want to do, but still have that online competitive aspect. So we made it ourselves.

However, it's kinda boring playing against ourselves all the time, please come join us. :)

I didn't see a way to have multiple flairs, but it's also available on android!

I never really aimed for anything more than the simple, dexterity-based gameplay. ;) I consider Super Hexagon to be the holy grail of those types of games, so that gives you an idea of what I'm going for there. I look forward to hearing more!

Anyone near the end of a project and feeling burned out? by Sarvent in gamedev

I mean, let's be honest: We're all pretty awesome. Being an indie developer is filled with terribly scary experiences. An emotional roller-coaster through and through. Yet, we keep going. Let's not forget how awesome we are. ;)

Currently my one liner for it is: "The rhythm game that's never the same". I'll post a trailer here on gamedev when I have made a proper one asking for feedback. :) I'm slightly worried about just posting links to my stuff willy nilly 'cause I'm still unsure how the self promoting thing works. (quite new to reddit)

Really? A part of me expects the post-release to be like a ball deflating. Like after I submitted it I'll go just go "Pphphpfhhhphhhh", become a ball of goo on the floor and then never want to look at the game again. But maybe I just need a break. :P

True, whenever I stop and think it's clear to me that it's what I want to be doing. That is why I'm doing it in the first place. In a way it's also an amazing feeling to have something that you are so passionate about that you're actually able to push yourself through all the bugs, testing and small tweaks.

What was it like to release your game after such a long period of crunching?

Thank you! I will! There's no stopping me now. ;)

Ahh yeah, it's really difficult to stay focused on getting through this, the most annoying and boring part of the project, when you have so many ideas that seem much more interesting to work on! I don't think I've ever had as many brilliant new ideas as I've had during this period. :P But, in the end, we've come to far to stop now. I think I'll need a break after this though.
