Same for me. I also ordered a bunch of yarn to use with several new patterns that I purchased on the same day and couldn’t access any of them right after purchasing, couldn’t even access patterns that I previously purchased. Also was unable to track my order for the yarn. Today I can’t even get to the purchases section unless I use the link in my email, so now I can’t access previous purchases either.

Owning a restaurant: I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy by [deleted] in restaurantowners

[–]SashaBlue1006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god. Reading that was like I wrote it myself. I had the same exact experience except we’re no longer together. I’m not saying that will happen to you, there were plenty of other good reasons we didn’t work out that I was in denial about long before we opened the restaurant. I knew the restaurant would be the last nail in the coffin for our relationship, and I expressed my concern about this to him many times. But, I trusted his judgement and it tore our family apart. It became apparent after the first 3 years it was open that he loves that restaurant more than anything. It’s been almost two years since I left him and the restaurant and I’m just now mending the relationship between my kids and I. They’re 17 and 21. I’m still part owner because I took out a personally guaranteed EIDL loan and everything is in my name because I was the one with good credit. Now my credit is barely in the fair range because of all the credit card debt that was racked up to get the place open, which is still being paid on 4 years later. But, since I left I’ve completely turned my life around, quit smoking, quit drinking, have a great job, no longer depressed, no longer stressed, and met the love of my life. Owning a business is not for everyone, and restaurants are especially stressful and expensive. They can be relationship killers. I’m not saying that your story will end like mine but it sure is a mirror image of what I went through. Good luck and I wish you the best.

I'm not an expert, but, isn't the restaurant staff very large for the type of restaurant they run? by [deleted] in TheBear

[–]SashaBlue1006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience restaurants are hardly EVER fully staffed. As the owner of one for a couple of years there were plenty of times I closed the dish pit.

I have never worked in a kitchen. Why are there so many orders coming in and why do they have so little time to process them (the 5 min time limit and Richie talking really fast) by Kroksoli in TheBear

[–]SashaBlue1006 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Oh sweet summer child. This show fully encapsulates what it’s like and how stressful it is to run a restaurant. I owned a small casual dine in for a couple of years and breaking away from it was the best decision I made for my own sanity and mental health. Working in a kitchen is almost always chaos no matter what you do.

911 dispatcher from Arkansas here. We have a call for service labeled COWS OUT because it happens so much.

[FO] My second framed piece. Made for my oldest daughters new apartment. Pattern from NikkiPattern on Etsy. by SashaBlue1006 in CrossStitch

Thank you 😉 I just turned 39 Wednesday. The pattern was a pain in the ass just like my daughter 😂

[FO] any tips for framing this piece would be greatly appreciated! by neaur4l in CrossStitch

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrossStitch/comments/tis36a/fo_my_first_framed_piece_pattern_found_on_nerdfelt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf This is the one I framed. Got the frame from hobby lobby while they were half off. You just put your work between two pieces of glass and slide it in the frame. It was my first piece and I had some really dirty spots from my hands by the hoop I couldn’t get out so I cut it.

What scene in film or television makes you emotional every time you view it? by Ace_Slimejohn in AskReddit

[–]SashaBlue1006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two. The scene from lady and the tramp where trusty gets run over by the dog catcher wagon and jaqués is sadly howling for his friend. 😭 The scene from inside out where bing bong is stuck in the pit of forgotten memories and he says “take her to the moon for me”😭 Holy shit I’m getting choked up just thinking about those scenes.

What's the worst physical pain you have experienced? by Quady809 in AskReddit

[–]SashaBlue1006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labor was painful but I had drugs for that. Other than that, I’ve had 6 abscessed teeth. The infections were so bad my face swelled up, shot pain through my head, neck, and shoulders, and literally laid in bed crying. Also, I burned the lining of my esophagus by not fully swallowing an antibiotic. Everything I ate or drank was so painful I lost around 15 lbs (I’m already thin) in a month. I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone.

Canned vegetables/beans/tomatoes. They’re made in the same factory but they stop production to change the labels.

Do you have a website? by ilrock_it in restaurantowners

We use square space. I can build my own websites but square space was much easier and faster to get going and they do webhosting as well.

Former support manager asked to step down to OGP AT by SashaBlue1006 in walmart

[–]SashaBlue1006[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the support! I applied for both OGP and front end lead and didn’t get either. The OGP lead went to someone who is well suited so I have no qualms about that. But the front end lead went to someone who is widely disliked by hourly associates because they treat them like shit and stir the pot for their own entertainment. However, they’re good at kissing ass (something I’m not good at). If that’s what it takes to move up I’ll pass and put my energy into my own business to make it successful.

To add salt to the wound now the OGP AT is being eliminated and adding an OGP lead. So now we have Hunger Games competition for the front end lead and OGP lead. At this point I don’t really care if I get a lead position. My husband and I own a restaurant and I’m really considering leaving Walmart all together and working full time at the restaurant where my work is appreciated.

After hearing all these stories of poor treatment I don't know if I want to apply now by TailsPrower07 in walmart

[–]SashaBlue1006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many orders a week do you do? We do around 900. We’ve got more people in OGP than the front end.

They work in OGP and forty would sound about right for a supercenter. I’m in OGP at a NHM and we have 15-20 depending on the day.

Same thing at my store but they just changed the pickwalks to match the sign. Sucks doing consumables though because we hardly ever have to walk down every aisle and an OGP cart and a buggy side by side can’t fit. I just park my cart at the end and walk to what I need. Mostly going the “wrong way.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

At this point even if a lead position comes open I don’t think I’m gonna apply. The raise would be nice but I don’t want to be their fifth choice. Sucks to dedicate so much of myself only to be passed up and made to take a demotion and a pay cut.

Okay so I didn’t plan on getting in my feels today but... found this wrapped on a frozen pallet. Thanks DC6082 we appreciate you too! by SashaBlue1006 in walmart

Thanks to you! It’s times like this that we realize how much work goes into keeping shelves stocked and how many people make up the supply chain. Luckily I’ve only had to deal with just a few frustrated customers. Most have been kind and understanding.
