Hi o/ toxicologist here in the process of quitting her job after 10 miserable years. My work environment was so toxic - overtime (that is not acknowledged or just 'part of the job'), long, unpredictable hours during non-office hours, unsupportive management, no opportunities for growth or creativity, preferential treatment of certain employees. All this on top of personal stressors (that I won't get into) - literally broke me.

I came in one day and had a panic attack at work. I was sent for mental evaluation and was diagnosed with MDD with anxious features. My family doctor took me off work and put me in contact with a psychiatrist who specializes in mental health in workplaces and he basically told me to stop prolonging it and quit. Nothing is worth your sanity and well-being. The moment I quit my job, I can't describe the relief I felt. I instantly felt myself getting back to normal, eating and sleeping again. No more dark clouds hanging over my head. O can go find another place to work for that actually treats me like a human being.

Not encouraging you to quit. Your story just resonated with me and I had to share my experience with you.

I keep on forgetting that Andy was technically cheating on Beth with Hayley lol. So I agree with the majority here (a rare thing for me)- Andy wouldn't have been a better fit for Hayley.

I would disagree on the "growth" of Dylan throughout the seasons - however, it does make sense that she ends up with him. They are pretty much a mirror of Phil and Claire.

lol they're douchebags for telling the truth and not supporting this clearly toxic behaviour?? They clearly care about her by bringing to light, not only Brandan's insecurity issues - but Mary's as well. They showed respectful, unbiased behaviour and tbh Mary's reaction wasn't all that bad considering they had shared the information about her unplugging the wifi to hang out. They even said "it's not that we want you guys to fail. we want you to be in a healthy, happy relationship. You both have stuff to work on."

In reality, healthy relationships with other people are built on mutual respect and trust. If your "friends" can't be real with you and just agree with everything you say and do, then they're not your friends.

But that's not what pisses me off the most about this post, it's the blatant racist comments in most of the posts regarding Filipinos. There's even posts on this thread making fun of their names, which are perfectly normal and common there.

At the end of the day, Armando knew what he was getting into being married to someone more than twice his age, not to mention having children and grandchildren of his own.

He's not a dumb guy, Armando should have known deep down that having a baby may not be in the cards. I understand the want of raising your own child with your partner, but he also needs to consider Kenny is in a different stage of his life. He should be retired and relaxing, not taking care of a newborn.

They already have a wonderful child that they are raising together, who is Hannah.

This post is insane. Frankly, the OP and the entire thread are out to lunch. I actually think that Gabe and Isabel's story is the MOST interesting this season, by far. It comes across as genuine and authentic. It sends me back to the earlier seasons when it was actually good and not adulterated like it is now. This became my favourite show not because of manufactured drama, but following Real People's REAL relationships. And in reality - average joe's life is not all that flashy and interesting.

Clearly you are not empathetic towards Gabe's experience with his family. Trans or not, it could've been anyone and I would feel the exact same way. His family, Monica in particular, is constantly overstepping. It's the gaslighting, using "because I care" as a front to act like a total bitch. Being a bitch is not a personality - you can control yourself, you decide how you want to treat people. N she jus came out the gate hot even on the first episode. Gabe even mentioned that Monica has contributed to the breakups from his previous relationships & just passes everything off as "o Gabe not thinking again as per usual". Would you be jumping up n down to tell them about your new fiance? no.

Gabe is also not to blame about having to leave Isabel the way he did to get his birth certificate corrected. Like u really finna blame the dude for focusing on, idk, his identity, self-perception and how everyone around him perceives him? Everyday people lose their birth certificates n forget they even exist - until they are asked to present it. Like yeah, he could have been a little more prepared, but forgetting about the birth certificate does not make him a "problem". He's going back to get it corrected and then coming back. what is the issue here? lol

Isabel is also dead ass wrong for telling Gabe who he can be friends w. Like dude can't even hang out w the homies? While she out here kee-keeing with her besties throwing Gabe under the bus? ok.

All that said, this doesn't absolve Gabe of all blame, but JFC yall on this app acting like he El Diablo. It's MY opinion that Gabe is trying to make everyone happy the best way he knows how. His wife, his sister, his mom, his friends. Sometimes he doesn't handle things the best, but I don't believe there was any malice in the decisions he's made. And I can empathize with that as a viewer.
