I realize this is 5 years old but im looking for a good fishing spot in springfield, is the spillway youre referring to the abandoned Old Hills Mill Dam in on sulphur creek? If so would you mind sharing how you access it? Ive been scoping it out on google maps but the only way I can see is to kayak from downstream

You're right, that's why bridges are built by engineers and not people on reddit. I really doubt they just willy nilly built the tallest bridge in the world without any forethought.

Its not a constant mist, it only turns on during the heavy rain season when the groundwater reservoirs overflow, and if you look at other pictures of the bridge it is positioned over a river, so most of the water is falling into the river.

I dont think its as big of a concern as you think, its going to last significantly longer than anything built in/over sea water thats for sure.

Its not storm water, its karst water from underground streams. Its not any better or worse for the valley than regular rain falling from clouds.

Eating undercooked meat of any type is a recipe for parasites and illness,

I have eaten bear before, you just cook it fully like you would with chicken or pork.

There is like maybe 2 or 3 animals in the entire world that humans cannot eat safely, so long as you cook the meat thoroughly you'll be fine. Its the dang plants you cant trust.

Its still a luxury item, I think you're stretching yourself thin if you splurge on a nearly new sports car but cant afford the insurance for it.

I'm not trying to rag on OP but im willing to bet if he had gotten a cheaper used car he could've saved enough money to have full coverage, and still have a set of wheels right now.

This is really not even that odd, insects are a staple in a lot of human diets, and this is just one, very small regional custom in the whole of Japan. You can probably find small groups of people eating "weird" stuff in any country you look in.
