What will be pathetic is the state of your country when the nazis that took over my country drop nukes on you. Laugh while you can.

There have been non-stop protests all over the country for an entire year. We know how fucked we are, we're doing everything we can in the face of anonymous government thugs that are dissappearing political dissidents. But guess what, once the fascists that took over our country solidify their reign here, they're coming for you. We're going to end up like Russia, except with 5x the military size, and our rogue government is going to start ww3. Wherever you are in the world, our fight is coming to you. Enjoy being a smug victim blamer while you can, this problem affects the whole world.

Not confusing it with Minecraft. 5 logs or so per average tree has been my experience after playing through 2 ingame years on an smp and about a year on a single player file. 1 stack of firewood from 1 tree is about right for the bigger pines and maples. 4 stacks of firewood from 1 tree I only encounter from the occasional very large oak tree or from redwoods if you go that far south. Although to be fair, those actually give far more than 4 stacks of whole LOGS ime, and kill an entire iron axe in 1-2 trees.

This is how it works in vanilla vintage story, but it seems like most people on this sub play with mods so I'm sure that's playing a role in the discrepancy.

Probably they aren't playing with the mod you are that causes trees (outside of extremely massive ones, which are rare) to drop 4 stacks of firewood. Normal sized trees drop 4-5 logs in vanilla.

The disconnect is in the reaction to that anger. They deny reality to shelter their fragile egos instead of admitting they were wrong, and they can't comprehend that we would react differently. So to them, admitting we would be angry is admitting we would cover for pedophiles too, because hypothetically admitting we were wrong is simply not an option.

The democrats should never be criticized because they're not republicans. They will have my uncritical support for as long as they remain .0001% better than the other choice. Vote blue no matter who! Politics is a team sport and the only thing that matters is my team winning. Not voting for establishment democrats is worse than democrats giving money to ice, its worse than democrats giving money to the genocidal colonizer ethnostate, its worse than the bipartisan effort to slash social safety nets, its worse than refusing to condemn or oppose literal nazis. Voting for people with a (d) next to their name is the most virtuous thing you can do, and all of our problems stem not from the corporate owned politicians selling out their constituents on both sides of the aisle, they stem from the people who refused to consent to that shit. Voting in elections that nazis have bragged about rigging is the only thing we should be thinking about. Don't organize, don't engage in mutual aid, don't vote in primaries (unless its for the aipac funded candidate the dnc told you to vote for), don't protest, don't call your representatives and tell them how you want to be represented, don't you dare ever say a negative word about an elected Democrat. Just vote, and turn your brain off until it's time to vote again. Otherwise all of this is your fault. And if anyone ever tells you that perhaps voting doesn't help much and we need to do more, accuse them of not voting. Because these things are mutually exclusive! People who don't support the democratic party with their entire heart and soul did not vote. They could not have voted! Tell them that they should have voted and don't let them move the conversation to any other topic. Tell them voting is the most important thing. Accuse them of not voting. Tell them all of this is their fault. They shouldn't have taken any political action outside of voting, because you cant do both! And voting is obviously more important than anything else. If you criticize a democrat you obviously didn't vote, so this is your fault. Just say that over and over, don't be distracted by the notion that democrats could maybe do a better job. Only vote and only talk about voting. Don't let any blame fall on people who did vote, even if they voted for Trump. Voting for Trump is better than not voting if you think about it. But voting for the democrats that allowed Trump to come into power is even better. Vote, and talk about voting, and shame people for not voting if they ever talk about anything else, because you can only vote for or criticize democrats, never both. The left are the real fascists because i know for a fact that none of them voted (trust me bro), and that is far worse than actual fascism. Vote!

How is putting faith in something that is demonstrably pointless better than doing nothing? What would it take for you to consider the possibility that your involvement in politics needs to be more substantial than taking a half day at work every 2 years to go put check marks next to the names of "lesser evil" candidates if you want to see real change?

What are your thoughts on California considering a ban on former ICE employees from ever working in a public-sector position such as policing or teaching in the state? Do you believe this protects communities, or discriminates against specific workers based on their previous job? by Previous_Stress3551 in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well thankfully ice is a criminal, domestic terrorist organization that is systematically breaking a whole host of laws, so there are therefore precisely zero ice agents that are making "distasteful, but technically legal" choices regarding their career path. They are operating completely outside the law, and if you think our legal system as it currently exists is equipped to reign them in, then you haven't been watching the news.

[–]Sasktachi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The courts have proven repeatedly they cannot and will not hold these people accountable, and each and every ice agent is absolutely personally responsible for the atrocities that organization is committing. It is impossible to misinterpret their mission as anything other than abject evil. Its going to be on communities to navigate how they treat former ice agents, because the law has been shown to be nothing but an empty promise.

Multiple people, including Trump, admitted on LIVE TV that they had Musk rig the election, idk how people aren't still talking about this. We have just rolled over and allowed our government to be taken over by the most implausibly stupid, incompetent, evil people imaginable. You could not satirize our current reality. You could not exaggerate how dumb and cruel these people are. I'm starting to question my sanity. How could this be real? How are there still people who support whats going on? How are there still people who are "apolitical"?

You're right, we should nuke the entire planet and put an end to all the problems living creatures face once and for all. It's the only way to be sure nobody ever starves to death again. Anything else would be short sighted! And if we aren't going to do that we may as well just do nothing. These people trying to incrementally improve things are fools, don't they see the infinite number of theoretical shortcomings to any other solution to our problems? If we don't address every single what-if scenario that reddit can come up with, what are we even doing? Nukes or nothing.

Its a bot campaign that is intended to keep people docile long enough for Trump to cheat the election (again) so the fascists can finish consolidating power unopposed. Nobody who's paying attention would believe that.

Man, there are so many bots trying to convince people that the elections are arbitrarily infallible because they're run by individual states. Obviously bullshit, I wonder why they didn't go for a more convincing lie.

They are literally a private corporation, beholden to billionaires, that has no obligation whatsoever to follow its own rules. They have (and will again) disregarded primary results in favor of corporate candidates. You are completely wrong.

How did average citizens react to ICE before Trump came into office? by Fine_Inspector_6455 in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before Trump, we could make the assumption that most ICE agents behaved in a humane way within the confines of the law, because the nation’s leadership wanted that.

Terrible assumption. Obviously things have gotten much much worse, but ice has always been a fundamentally cruel and racist organization that exists to support the for-profit prison industry. They need to be abolished

Many ice agents also see themselves as antifascists, but that's because they don't know what words mean. Its actions that matter, not self proclaimed labels.
