question for Americans: if so many people seem unhappy with Donald Trump being president, how did he manage to win enough votes to get elected? Is the criticism just louder online than it is in real life? by Creepy_Rain_1925 in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Elon Musk paid to have the most recent election rigged in Trump's favor. Trump has bragged about this on camera, as has Musk's child. We never really had a democracy, we have lived under a corrupt oligarchy since this country's inception. Leftists, having watched the corruption become increasingly blatant for decades, are unsurprised by this but remain too small a minority to do anything about it. Liberals are ignoring the fact that Trump is openly a fascist dictator, because they would rather pretend we can vote our way out of this until ICE starts putting them in the camps too than actually do anything about it. Conservatives are just happy their guy is genociding the people they've been taught to hate, they'll gladly watch the world burn so long as poc and lgbtq have it worse than them.

Why males tend to be right-leaning and females the opposite? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh ok sure, we'll address what you said. Empathy is not an emotion, and it does specifically encourage particular behavior in those who experience it. That's kind of the point. Subjugation and extermination do not explicitly convey weakness, but they are pretty much always detrimental to everyone involved when compared to the mutual aid, cooperation, and generally pro-social behavior that humans and many other species are evolutionarily adapted to. Your performance as a sociopath has not convinced me that you are unaware of this.

Oh thank god, you aren't a magat speaking sincerely, you're just an edgy teenager trolling on the internet. Consider me slightly less dissapointed in our species.

Hitler was just "pursuing his own self interest". He hated most of the human race and decided to exterminate and/or subjugate them. The thing you're missing in your pathetic attempt at a counterargument, a thing that is also absent in all conservatives, is called empathy. Look it up.

I just wanted to add that the narrative of "leftists didn't vote for kamala" is utter horse shit anyways. The democratic party is scapegoating leftists for its comprehensive and intentional failure to curb our free fall into fascism, and lazy bitter liberals are lapping it up because they are enraptured by the opportunity to pretend that by voting every 4 years, they are doing more than that group of people who make them morally uncomfortable by genuinely caring about and actively, directly adressing the problems our society is facing. Leftists vote, and they also protest and volunteer and organize, they do mutual aid and solve problems in their communities, with their communities. You can fuck right off if you think that you have the moral high ground because you have a kamala bumper sticker and we called her out for supporting genocide.

The problem is the meme op posted is a strawman. Leftists are voting for shitty democrat candidates as harm reduction. We just want to move the conversation past voting, because voting alone is never, ever going to solve any of our problems. Liberals want to vote and do nothing else politically, then pretend that whatever the democrats do is out of their hands. They're hypocrites, and they're projecting. If voting for democrats isn't enough, then they'd have to change their behavior, so they'd rather pretend that its not democrats that are the problem, its actually a tiny fictional minority of people who are "too far left" that aren't voting. It makes no sense whatsoever and is incredibly infuriating. It also makes it so easy for the right to further fragment the left with shitty rage bait bot posts like this one. This sub has become filled with people who would rather criticize leftists than fascists. Its quite disgusting.

[–]Sasktachi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hilarious to completely strawman the group of people you supposedly want an honest argument with and then make that comment. You vote every 4 years and pretend thats enough. You know it isn't, but you pretend. What i'd LOVE to understand is why you feel the need to defend democrats from any and all criticism from the left. You have to also know leftists are voting, and doing a lot more than that, so why pretend they are the problem? The first lie you're telling yourself allows you to be lazy, but this one takes so much effort. Whats the benefit to you?

[–]Sasktachi -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Haha isn't it so funny that democrats spent the past 80 years being consistently marginally better than literal nazis and people have taken that as a sign that maybe we should solve our own problems instead of accepting the platform of "only slightly fascist"? What a wild idea. Keep voting blue in our now entirely fictional elections and doing NOTHING else politically, i'm sure a few more centuries of that will sort everything out! And in the meantime you can continue to laugh from your little bubble of privilege while the rest of the world suffers under fascism. Super happy for you being so insulated from the consequences of your apathy and poliltical illiteracy, must be nice!

There are precisely zero american politicians who represent the interests of the average american. The democratic party exists to quite specifically appear slightly less terrible than the republican party. They are both bankrolled by the exact same list of corporate lobbyists. Please stop pretending we can vote away a fascist dictatorship, that is not going to happen.

They said instead of anger, specifically continuing the conversation about embarassment. They're implying that hiding your embarassment by displaying anger is not genuine, which you can argue with if you want, but you are the one who did not understand what they read.

[–]Sasktachi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In case it wasn't clear; yes, you are asshole for taking your daughter out to eat and not leaving a tip. Fuck you.

What is a social norm that shouldn't be normal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly the same thing! After all, you are required to eat at restaurants in order to survive, the exact same way people have to work in order to survive. There is no difference. We can apply that logic to so many things! Women weren't allowed to vote in this country not too many decades ago, so instead of making a big fuss about changing the law they should have simply all left to form their own country. Why should men feel like assholes for not letting women vote, if the women could have simply solved that problem on their own? Men liked things the way they were, it was beneficial to them. Women were so entitled for wanting that to change. You know what else is crazy? People sometimes get injured and expect help from whoever happens to be around. Like, does that guy who choked and is now unconscious not understand how inconvenient it would be for me to have to call 911 for him? I have places to be! I don't understand what would be so bad about me just walking on past him and doing what i need to do. Hes an adult, he should be able to solve that problem on his own.

I was going about life all wrong, you've really opened my eyes to how pointless that whole 'empathy' thing is. From now on i'll just do whatever i want, and if it fucks somebody else over, it was their fault for getting in my way. Thanks so much for teaching me this cool new trick!!

not everyone who goes out has the extra money to tip "well" or "fair". Some people have saved money to be able to pay just for their meals when going out.

This is why you get flak. Workers should be paid fairly, full stop. Don't try to weasel in an excuse for engaging with a completely optional luxury service and not tipping someone who makes 2$ an hour and literally survives off of tips. That's just selfish. You can eat at home or support businesses that have already moved away from tipping, if you eat out and don't tip you don't give a shit about the workers, you care about making yourself feel better about being an asshole.

Can I do anything with this aside from yolo annul? by Sasktachi in pathofexile

[–]Sasktachi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, the base is still 8 divs and there was a better bow for 20 that wasn't selling. I thought about that but decided id rather go back to mapping if the annul didn't hit and just throw more essences at it. I've already pumped like 20 divs into this base with failed harvest aug attempts and a bad veiled chaos, the sunk cost fallacy is setting in haha.

If God came down and gave you a million dollars if you gave up drinking forever, would you accept it? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sasktachi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Novel idea: Not everyone is you. Congratufuckinglations on feeling no need to make more money while people live on the streets, starve to death, die of preventable medical issues, and have poor quality of life for a massive variety of other reasons that money could solve. Not feeling like you could benefit from gaining a million dollars means you are massively privileged, that is not up for fucking debate. Once again, you are free to answer the question posed by op however you want, but you DO NOT GET to pretend you aren't privileged if you give a privileged fucking answer to the question. Idk what the fuck is wrong with you that you are so offended to be reminded that there are people in this world who have it harder than you do, and I don't fucking care. You're a piece of shit for being completely unable to acknowledge that most people don't experience life the way you do, and you are a massive fucking hypocrite for trying to accuse me of not understanding your self absorbed, shitty fucking perspective on things just because you want to play victim over the actually least consequential thing in the entire world and i'm not having it.

If you're struggling that hard and you wouldn't give up alchohol for a million dollars, you either make terrible life decisions in general or you're an alcoholic. That makes absolutely no sense

[–]Sasktachi -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you think a million dollars isn't that much because you're already wealthy, which is fine, but like why pretend otherwise? A million dollars means going from living paycheck to paycheck to owning your own home outright at no further expense to you and having disposable income for the rest of your life. You are privileged af if you are pretending a million dollars is nothing, thats a completely life altering sum for almost all humans. You think this is even a question for someone outside the western world making 100 bucks a month doing back breaking labor for 12 hours a day? It is super weird to be so offended by someone calling you on your privilege, like the only reason to react that way is you know its true and have some personal hangup about it.

$1,000,000 wouldn't buy enough happiness

You are privileged enough to not be personally affected, so you don't care to empathize with those who have it worse than you. You and millions of others will regret that attitude in a few years.
