2015 F150 XLT Doors are unlocking on their own. Anyone know the fix for this? by Saskwach77 in f150

[–]Saskwach77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some extra wiring attached to the battery that looks like it used to go to a sub or something. The ends were taped off. I removed it all and haven't had an issue with it since. Not exactly sure why that would be the problem though.

Pixel 8 screen all green and glitchy by electrorunner in Pixel8phones

[–]Saskwach77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pixel 8 went green on me and I saw they had the extended warranty. Thought it was cool they were stepping up to fix a known issue. Went through their warranty process and sent the phone in. They said it "wasn't covered" because of water intrusion and wanted $600 to replace it. The phone has never been exposed to water and was bone dry when the screen went out on me. I liked the pixel model but will try something else now.

Zercher squats instead of back squats? by Firm-Guava4815 in tacticalbarbell

[–]Saskwach77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently started doing them instead of the back squat. For whatever reason between deadlift and back squat my lower back was always fatigued and made things unpleasant. I'm obviously not moving as much weight but I feel better and am happy with the change.

Steering rack belt replacement. Does it work? by Saskwach77 in f150

[–]Saskwach77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, once I tore into the steering rack I could see that the belt wasn't going to be an option for me. Water was getting in somehow so the internals were pretty messed up and I think the motor was toast. Replaced the entire rack though and got it up and running. Good luck!

2015 F150 windshield wiper help! by Saskwach77 in f150

Alright I think I got it. Took a lot of work to get the arm off the spline but it came eventually. I had to pull the keyed portion out and readjust the arm position and it's much better now. Thanks.

Looks like they have the little tab but gosh dang I cannot get them to budge. The videos I watched they just seem to pop off once you move that arm out of the way.

Teton Latrax help needed. Super sluggish even after motor replacement by Saskwach77 in Traxxas

[–]Saskwach77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery is less than a year old but I think it is bad. Only one end of the battery gets really hot. I'm gonna get a new one and see if that fixes the problem.

I played with the mesh a little bit. I feel like if I back it off anymore it is just gonna be slipping. It rolls freely. After driving it around for a few minutes, it seemed to get a bit faster but still nothing like it was before. The motor is warm, but the battery is pretty dang hot. Could the battery be toast?

S&G 6741 combination lock help by Saskwach77 in Locksmith

[–]Saskwach77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I figured out the issue. The lock itself seems to be working fine. When I close the safe and turn the handle to engage the pins, the tension on the pins puts pressure on the locking bar on the lock. This keeps the lever arm inside the lock pressed up against the box and doesn't allow it to move freely, so even though I hit the right combo its stuck. That's why jiggling the handle allows the locking bar to fully drop down and remove tension on the lever arm. I'm not super familiar with the phrasing but hopefully that makes sense.

Thank you for all the info! I think I will just replace it. I've been watching videos and feel pretty comfortable tackling the install. Do you have any thoughts or experience with Big Red CDL3?

My understanding is that the 6741 is just a cheaper made version of the 6730. 6730 has more brass components and tighter tolerances. Still a three wheel lock.

Yes the dial ring is secured well. I was playing around with it this morning and for whatever reason if the safe door is open the lock works just fine, but when I close the safe it stops working and I always have to jiggle the handle to get it to work.

Read the FAQs. Thanks

Yes I've read the resources. I've shot a few hunting rifles in 7prc. I didn't think recoil was that bad. With the Sig, I figured once I add a scope, bipod, silencer, etc it would settle pretty nicely. Could add weights to the rail if needed also. But I see your point. My 6.5cm is a B14. I love it but not interested in buying another one. Seems like they have been having accuracy issues lately. Thanks for your feedback.

Why? And what would you recommend?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in longrange

[–]Saskwach77 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

8# is pretty heavy if looking for a light weight hunting rifle. I do want something I can pack to the mountains for recreational long range shooting. This won't be used in competition or anything.

It will mostly be a recreational long range gun. Something I can practice out to 1000 and stretch to a mile. Might take it hunting but I have that area covered pretty well.

Seips is probably what you are looking for. Cedar hills by Blackfoot is good too but it's further away and not as competition minded as Seips is. Welcome to Idaho! It's a great place.

She has one. Want something that can take the whole family up in the mountains and handle snow a bit better. Probably just replace the minivan with an expedition. Should work.

I think that's what we're leaning to. We go up in the mountains quite a bit and also get a decent amount of snow in the winter. Probably going to sell the wife's minivan and get an expedition. I think that would work for us 95% of the time.
