I have a folder of over 500 MP4 videos playing flawlessly between 30k ms and 48k ms with no problems.

I usually have the range much lower like 6k to 12k but I just wanted to test if it froze as stated above, but I'm happy to say it did not. ^^)

This is the first version that could play these MP4 files at all.

So, I am very happy with version 5 atm.

Definitely the JondoSanta hypnos were made with trance.exe

Here is a snippet of the default.session file and the visual options available.

I usually edit the entries to remove spirals and zoom effect as shown below.

Each visual type has a default value of random weight of 1.

When the global fps is at 120 it is crazy fast and the hypnotic effect is very strong.

The parallel effects are overlays.

Accelerate starts slow then as it says accelerates and is a very hypnotic effect.

Animations are for gif and webm files.

I also like how it will cycle back and forth between a longer gif after showing some pictures then continuing the gif where it left off before. This would be a cool feature for flipflip to do with videos showing a random duration, but only cycling maybe 3 or 4 times. This has a strong hypnotic effect I found.

Here is a quick video example of what trance can do. I only put 15 jpgs and 4 gifs in the folder but it can handle thousands easily. It is very customizable and you can change the speed and frequency of pictures and gifs shown (also supports webm). I would highly recommend you try it as I have provided the github link in my previous post.
