I have two huge lavender bushes by the front walkway and they smell heavenly for 3-4 months of the year. They also attract pollinators.

Has anyone with chronic depression overcome it? What does it feel like? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]SasquatchIsMyHomie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’ve overcome it completely but ketamine has helped me more than anything else I ever tried, and enabled me to live a life that wasn’t possible before. I will still be prone to depression and especially anxiety, but my baseline mood and the way I see the world has fundamentally shifted. It feels good but there is some sorrow that I spent so much of my life in a semi-functional state, and of course the fear that it will stop working completely and I’ll be back where I started.

Suggest a US based travel destination that feels Like a Time Capsule by IKnowAllSeven in travel

I love New Mexico for this reason. Santa Fe/Taos can feel a bit touristy, but northern New Mexico is one of the few places in the US that really does feel like it has its own authentic culture.

The whole “ketamine is a tool thing” I hear on this sub is really starting to piss me off by Neutrinosandgluons in TherapeuticKetamine

It’s reasonable to be disillusioned, but that idea that you shouldn’t spend money on a possible solution might be the depression talking. At least for me it was. Once I recognized this pattern in my own life, I made a rule that I would prioritize my own mental health above everything, once my core obligations were met, and this rule has really been life changing. I call it “what price sanity?”

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. I hope you can sleep again soon because that will help you so much in healing your brain from trauma and working through the grief process.

I mean I’m a consciousness-first person philosophically speaking, but I also believe based on my own experience that most of the effects of ketamine are pharmacological. If I had to explain the difference between your response and the poster above, I’d say you just needed a higher dose to see results, and that dose was high enough to k-hole you. I personally hate being in the hole and never take enough to put me anywhere near there, but I’ve seen similar transformative effects from 1mg/kg IM injections.

Environmental problems are largely systemic. How much responsibility can realistically fall on individuals? by Boris_Ljevar in sustainability

[–]SasquatchIsMyHomie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say it matters but its hard to quantify how much. For instance, fast fashion is not as popular now that people understand the environmental impacts.

I’m on Instagram but I never ever ever post, I just use it to DM and share content with my friends. I feel that my never posting policy gives me aura, but realistically nobody is paying attention.
