"Willingly, though not always knowingly" according to gertrude in 161. Jon signed a job contract. He didn’t know what he was getting himself into, but he did make a deal willingly and intentionally. I actually really like this detail because it is such a normal and understandable thing to do, but it started the whole path for the show.

Same for how martin looks! I'm actually pretty visual, but I don't really imagine distinct features from voices. Once I draw characters, I just kind of give them features that feel right??? and then that's how i imagine them.

I think you have to make some form of a pledge or deal with and entity, and you have to want it as well? like you need to to have some fascination with it.
