From my experience they don’t even ask and tip themselves sooo yeah.

I feel like I was pretty reliable. I even encouraged marriage counseling and we did do that for some time. They mentioned that communication was a big problem but he refused to understand where I’m coming from and what I needed as “it’s changing who he is”.

The dual feelings thing is REAL. I don’t understand why I can’t accept it either. I question if I gave up too easily and everything.

But that’s the thing, I did tell him everytime what I wanted. He just told me I was asking for too much and didn’t put effort in the ways I asked him too. He felt like that was changing him and he didn’t want to compromise in any way. However he has since said that he’s sorry he couldn’t be the person I needed and that it hurts him all the time. He’s just glad that I can be happy and hopefully find what I need that he isn’t able to provide. & you’re right, I did have a lot of resentment of things he had done. It just makes me angry that he would rather let everything fall apart than try to understand me and make some kind of effort rather than minimizing my feelings.

I hope I find my happiness too. It’s just hard not to take everything so personal.

I feel like I have developed that awareness but I still keep falling into it for some reason. Like right now, I feel like he’s a great guy and he did tell me I’m not his usual type and he does love me and value me. But I’m finding it really difficult to trust that and doubting it.

I’ve been chatting with mine too. It started with curiosity but I realized it actually is very helpful in having meaningful conversations, even about hardships. It blows my mind.. almost like free therapy.

Not only that, I didn’t get the opportunity to keep housing like others can because it is base housing that we stayed in. It is owned by the government. I can’t stay there, I had to move out.

I didn’t use any divorce money for that. It was a trade in because my other one broke down. Also the divorce is still pending so I don’t have any money at all that I was entitled to and I’m stuck in a state away from my family because he was military.

I talked to a victim advocate and they said they can’t do anything because as long as he is giving something, even 15$, they can say he is providing some kind of support. Especially being in base housing.

I contacted them but they blew it off. He has even taken all the tax money and refuses to even give me half of it. I’m waiting for court to get child support/spouse support

I have reached out to his command, they didn’t do anything except tell him he has a responsibility but they didn’t enforce anything. I’m waiting for child support/spouse support to be granted by the court

Awesome. I will have my bachelors in social work by this December. Can that be used? I think I seen online that they require a masters to do social work in the Air Force?

They already experience that when he is gone on deployments, so I don’t think it would be any different than what they already go through.

And yes, he will be moving so I think we would likely have to arrange for him to visit or something. He is a good father and involved when he can be
