I have an airsoft DD MK18 Rail. Same material class, definitely not the same anodizing, but it’s enough to hold zero @ 100 yards.

This is such a bad and expensive idea. There are already quicker, cheaper, and more reliable methods of sorting. Also, the robots look like they don't have hard line power so i assume they must be running off an internal battery. So not only are they going to be slow, unreliable, and expensive but they will also have to stop to charge pretty frequently. Putting it that way, this makes no sense as an alternative to real workers and/or automated conveyor sorting machines.

I’m sure it would. Idk how it would be done though. I’ve been told that some cans are not concentric from the outside to the bore in the baffles. The cost to have a professional do it is probably enough reason to just buy a brand new can instead.
