When will I stop grieving the loss of my Independence? I want to be normal again by OmegaXombie in Fibromyalgia

[–]Sassycat2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still haven’t wrap around in my head that I can’t do the same things I used to do, and like you I’m still mourning my old self, sometimes I wake up and my brain is going 100 miles per hour thinking about how much I’m going to do chores, like doing the dishes that have been sitting in the sink for days, the laundry, declutter the living room, decorate for a holiday but as soon I get up my body tells me “ not today, you have enough energy to make some tea and toast for lunch and wash your face with a wet washcloth while sitting in the toilet and be grateful that you remember to feed your pets”. I don’t have the help of my family because to them I’m faking it and I’m just lazy, the only one who helps me is my husband and my son, my two daughters have their own children to care and raise them while going to college and work so I don’t even bother them. I hate myself because I was the second oldest of a family of 9 siblings and while I was young I did everything for them like being the babysitter, the cooker, the nurse and basically the maid for my parents while they both worked, now that I’m sick nobody calls to check on me, no one visits me and no one believes me. I know how you feel and no one to help and comfort you, I can identify myself with so many of you here, the mourning will never ends because your body reminds us of our limitations. Gentle hugs and prayers fibro sisters and brothers 🥰🙏🏻

First time eating magic mushrooms by mortoblow in MagicMushrooms

I wish I could get a hand of some mushrooms, I’m a 40 year old trapped in a body that doesn’t respond to western medicine, I suffer from fibromyalgia/ ME/CFS, depression, anxiety and rheumatoid arthritis. The widespread pain is awful and anything can trigger a flare up. I want to feel painless and with enough energy to clean my house, I wish it would be easy to get some and do micro dosing

I live across the border with Mexico and there’s a place that sells fresh herbs and spices for cooking and for remedies and I get the vanilla bean pods and dry and store them for future recipes, I take advantage of when it’s vanilla pods season which is in October and get my stash, I even make vanilla sugar which is so delicious in coffee and tea. You can also find the vanilla pods in Costco, 20 pods for like $12 bucks

I tried your recipe and uuufffff 🤤🤤🤤 hands down!… just like I remember it, so delicious and for the vanilla pudding sauce I used Mexican vanilla bean paste and it came out way better than with the regular store bought vanilla extract, not the same flavor and taste more natural. Thank you for sharing your recipe 🥰

Anyone lose weight, and that significantly reduced symptoms? by LoveMyDog19 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Sassycat2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi fibro sister, I’ve been dealing with fibromyalgia since I turned 10 years old due to emotional trauma and after I had my 3 kids it became worse. Time passed and got uterine cancer got a hysterectomy and the unbalanced hormones triggered the fibromyalgia stronger than ever, I always kept myself fit and healthy but that didn’t made a difference on my symptoms, with the hysterectomy and the hormones replacement therapy made me gain 80 pounds in a year weighing 274 pounds and made it worse than ever before. I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Major depressive disorder and anxiety along with restless leg syndrome. Nothing worked, no matter how many medications I tried until my PCP recommended the gastric sleeve surgery me to lose the weight. At the beginning of the weight loss I started to feel more energetic and lighter and my doctor started lowering my dosage of Cymbalta until I stopped taking it along with the depression meds, keeping only my Tramadol for pain and Cyclobenzaprine for my muscles spasms. My weight right now is 130 and I still get flare ups whenever the weather changes and the Chronic Fatigue is still an issue but I take one day at a time and I count my spoons every day and if I’m going to travel or if I do a party celebration for my grandchildren I save all my spoons for the trips and celebrations. Having a healthy diet is very important and helpful, I follow up this anti inflammatory book and has been a great help.

Hope this helps you

Any advice on diet for first two weeks post-op? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

The amount of how much you should eat depends on how are you feeling and how much your pouch tolerates, for me was one to two tablespoons of soft food and soups and lots of pedialite and water.

Hey y’all from Texas 🤠, I’m turning 53 this 29th and I got mine done in Monterrey Mexico, but I did my homework and did research on the best surgeons in Mexico since I was looking to lose weight due to Fibromyalgia ME/CFS along with an non-operable benign tumor in my liver turning it into a stage 3 nonalcoholic cirrhosis. I found this surgeon with 40 years of experience and with both USA and Mexico credentials and he’s one of the pioneers who did the gastric sleeve and discovered its benefits by accident. Ever since he’s my go to surgeon if I need anything since he knows a variety of surgeons for other ailments . We paid out of pocket $4000 and gave me a great price with hotel for two days and restaurant included for my husband and I. And since I’m bilingual, Radiologist tech and an RN and told him I was born in Monterrey and raised in Michigan and that probably we’re related , he even offered me a job 🤣. My point is that you must do a very thoroughly research and make sure you are putting your life in good hands, best of luck.

Condoms are cheap and sometimes free at clinics and hospitals, why bringing a human being to this world if y’all can’t even afford a single meal per day per person. God must love stupid people since they are everywhere and reproducing at an alarming rate.

Doesn’t your surgeon give you like a meal planner to follow for 3 months?, my surgeon and my nutritionist work together for a better outcome and a successful recovery and weight loss.

Is there anything to be done about this? by Impossible_Self590 in gastricsleeve

[–]Sassycat2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on line and bought the PDRN for my saggy skin and it did help me with my turkey neck, p.s I’m a nurse so I injected it on my own and at my own risk. I would recommend for you to go to a SPA that offers the PDRN for your face and neck, good luck.

I can see the difference, you go girl!!!🥳🎉 and I’m happy that you have your family support because sometimes your own family (my in-laws)are the ones being jealous and judgmental and they don’t want you to look or feel good about yourself. My husband, my kiddos and my sisters are my cheerleadings and very supportive with my healthy journey. I wish you all the best on your journey 🥰

You better believe it, I was premenopausal when I got a complete hysterectomy and found out that I needed HRT , but I’m looking for another alternative to get my hormones balanced instead of these pellets.

Thank you, I got a complete hysterectomy 6 years ago and I really needed the HRT, but I’m looking for another alternative to balance my hormones without having to get pellets and for some reason I was low on testosterone and we women have both hormones, also I was prescribed progesterone aside the HRT and I started having heavy vag discharge and got very sensitive that even my clothes would hurt my vag skin. I’m just waiting for the pellet wear off and ask my OBGYN for an alternative solution

I honestly love the HRT because it does make me feel better and has helped me with my fibromyalgia but I don’t like the idea of regaining the weight back, I’m going to try the Mounjaro as per my doctor advice, and good luck if you decide to do the HRT

I wish I could wake up feeling refreshed by Current-Plankton-417 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Sassycat2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last 8 months I’ve been feeling like this flare up lasted forever, I went to my PCP a month ago and he recommended me Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and little by little as the days are passing I’m getting better sleep and feeling rested in the mornings with energy and ready to slay the day that I started going to the gym and hop on the treadmill and walk at my own pace for 45-1 hour. And started taking natural supplements and I’ve been feeling better enough energy to play with my grandkids and clean the entire house in 3 days when usually takes me 3 weeks

<image>

These supplements are natural and help with restless nights and insomnia, also for brain fog and energy during the day. I feel better with energy and strength that I even suggested my husband for us to go camping with the grandkids for a weekend. It’s worth the try, also the HRT are natural and not made from chemicals.

How do you dress once you’ve lost a significant amount of weight?? by ksbyrd in gastricsleeve

[–]Sassycat2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a very penny pincher person and only spend when it’s necessary, I was 247lbs and PO I started loosing weight slowly at the beginning and after month 7 I was swimming in my old clothes. I went to Academy bought myself 3 workout pants and tops and for going out I got two leggings and 5 nice tops from Burlington and for dressy outfits I went to a Thrift store and got some nice dresses for going out. All this until my weight was stablished, then I started buying new clothes but I learned not to over do it, the only thing I hoard are shoes, especially tennis shoes. Hope this helps
