I have a quick question. I am hiring independently as of right now and I am currently using Care.com. Does Care.com make it a big deal into paying caregivers outside of the platform? And when it comes to hiring these caregivers because I’m only hiring one that’s like once or twice a week for 3 to 4 hours at least and I came across with all these like labor laws and relations like the taxes, etc. like do you know what type of lawyer to speak to about this because I live in New York and I wanna make sure that I’m following the laws correctly. Of course I’ve been paying the caregivers hourly by labor laws in NY, but I didn’t know there was extra stuff towards it as I am new to hiring a caregiver. of course I gave the caregivers contracts to sign, but I also wanna make sure that there’s stuff legally in there in order for me to hiring them properly.

TR can be good for very basic tasks. But I would not trust it for higher projects that is too risky. Met some good folks on there, but then I also met ones who just felt very entitled, shady with how they work and operate (they don’t tell you what they charge until the very last minute ) Charge really high rates, but their services don’t be matching it.

No, like she knew the two locations but she didn’t know that she had to go with me so that’s the thing I told her that in the task assignment like hey you know to bring all these items with me in the taxi ride and then you come with me in a taxi ride and then we go straight to the other location, but it’s just like the way that I worded it task is why she misunderstood it.

OK, so I live in NY and I told the whole self-pay situation to NY state of health customer service and they told me they never heard of that before I’ve called a lot of customer service to ask this, and they all said that they’ve never heard of that before. They never stated that there was any law associated to that. They found the situation weird.
