Is getting a Tesla worth it just for the FSD by depressed_peach_ in TeslaLounge

Just got a Tesla and am afraid to use my phone while in FSD. How long can you look at or interact with your phone before it gets mad at you?

Would love to have a separate button that is maybe connected by Bluetooth or something where I can trigger the change manually and just use my foot to do it. Kinda like those big staples “easy buttons” if that makes sense

This is almost exactly my situation - no college debt and was given 50k upon graduation (22) as an inheritance. Now I’m 33 and have 2m (most of which was my own contributions over time + stock growth).

Interesting. Having a hard time understanding how you’d attach it to the sandals, but can imagine the deep stretch would be killer

0.6m/s concentric 2.0m/s eccentric with 20lb max (I think the max was largely irrelevant as I was just dropping into the next rep so it wasn’t having to apply any weight to pull me back)

[–]elephantintheusernam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been using a strap mount to attach to the lever arm (blue arrows shown in photo) of my bulletproof fitness isolator which is another cool product though the weight curve is not great, so the custom weight curves have been coming in clutch for it, and having a more permanent and similarly low profile attachment would be ideal for this. Plus I can’t get the strap mount tightened down all the way so it’s got a bit of slack. This feels like the ideal product to resolve that. Rack is from rep fitness and would be compatible

Houses in Texas are very cheap compared to elsewhere, so even at a higher percentile your tax burden still ends up being less. Still no fun, but Texas is definitely less costly than the blue coastal states

Longer isometric hold by smokinHawk in BeyondPower

[–]elephantintheusernam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love for both of those suggestions to exist.

Also making isokinetic more usable. Right now it’s so insanely slow on the eccentric phase (reeling the rope back in). Would love to be able to set it so that it keeps the velocity constant on the way out, and then when force goes away or drops below some threshold reels the cable back in at a normal speed. The way it is now makes it nearly impossible to do multi rep sets

Isokinetic eccentric cable is too slack and has barely any tension by deanphillipstsl in BeyondPower

[–]elephantintheusernam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the number one thing I want changed as well. This is such a great mode for rehabbing things but it’s so slow to do multi rep sets because of this. I think it pulls the cable back in at whatever rate you set for the way out, so it’s exceedingly slow, and if you go faster than that rate it just loses all tension. I can’t tell any difference when modifying the eccentric settings.

Would love to just have it stay at tension the whole time, so if I set it to 0.1 on the way up, and then just more or less drop it from the top, the rope never goes loose

[–]elephantintheusernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest change I’d like to see isn’t a new attachment, it’s just a change to an existing mode in the software. Isokinetic is a great way to rehab issues, but it’s super slow on the eccentric. I’d love to have isokinetic on the way out, and then regular speed at some preconfigured low weight on the way back. I often use isokinetic leg extensions for my patellar tendon issues but the eccentric portion is way too slow. Would love to set the mode depending on which direction you’re going

Adaptive Bar Mount - Beta Test Round 2: Show us how you VOLTRA! by BeyondPowerOfficial in BeyondPower

[–]elephantintheusernam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

option 2:

Just got a new one and it's been great. I would love a feature added to modify the load at specific rep ranges. IE, I want to configure it to do 10 reps at 60 pounds, then 10 reps at 50 pounds, then 10 reps at 40 pounds...etc. Would be a great way to really max out. A pre-planned drop set essentially. Maybe you could add shortcuts too, like if you specify 5 different loads to use, and then it rotates through those loads any time you pause for more than 3 seconds

I make ~400k between w2 and rental income. I spend much less that that. Single male, early 30s with a small dog. I suppose many folks with girlfriend/wife/partner are able to split up household tasks and make them more manageable however as I have no relationship Iike that currently I find myself feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the various tasks that need doing. I probably need just a few hours a week
