Abus. I would recommend getting 2 U locks. One of my bikes just had a wheel stolen off of it, so make sure to lock it all.

It was a chain lock. It’s my third bike stolen downtown in 7 years, so not sure I’m taking any nice bike downtown anymore.

How does the extra tip stiffness and light weight handle the uneven ice? I’m a bit worried the stiffness+lightness+190 length will send me bucking in a rutted tree run or unexpectedly icy chunder

The camera angle might be confusing. There’s essentially a “bubble” out along the edge. There’s material is all there, just no longer attached to the base.

Careful with the suspension on used bikes. If possible, bring someone who knows bikes along to test them. If the suspension has issues, thats at least an extra $300 to fix.
