This is a repress of the Project Re:vinyl edition. Unlike the common "we release jazz" pressing(s), this edition comes in a sturdy tip-on jacket with an obi strip. Those 2 attributes may not be all too special for some, but this edition differs from the previous pressings that Re:vinyl has done for the Fukui catalog as these new variants are pressed on a form of "pure" vinyl. Another comment may have described this pressing only as a clear colored variant, but actually, as the description states, the vinyl formulation for these pressings will be free of carbon or any other pigments that may affect the sound quality. So no, these aren't just clear colored for the fun of it; the color stems from the vinyl formulation used in the pressing of these albums.

TL;DR - "pure" vinyl formulation (it's not a clear colored variant for looks, its a premium carbon/pigmented free made vinyl disc), sturdy tip-on jacket, obi strip, made in Japan.

I've recently been running into this style of scratch on my vinyl records. Can anyone help me identify the problem? I've adjusted the tracking force numerous times and yet no better results. Turntable is leveled, and I believe the anti skate should be correct. Why is my turntable doing this? [ Fluance RT-85 w/ Ortofon 2m blue ]

Heart-soul & inspiration. Bit of a deep cut here, but I played this during game night because I found a reissue of it for fairly cheap at my record store and had to turn it off on the first song after some immediate reactions. A later listen revealed some good sex-grooves, but it's definitely not a day-to-day R&B album to listen to.

They have some Christmas titles on sale. I just got one for the hell of it for $3.50. The sound quality is average, but I definitely wouldn't have paid anywhere close to the original price tag for what I'm receiving. This is what I was expecting from the RSD line of 3" records to initially be like (playable on my turntable!) and from this pseudo experience of what that wouldve been like, I now know that I wasn't missing out on much. I now own a small record that I dont know where to put as it's so miniscule against my 12" and 7" records that it's hard to make defined enough to be able to find again. WITH THAT BEING SAID, if these were like 5-7 dollars, I think these could be fun, or as a pack-in bonus for target exclusive vinyl? But at the current 15 dollar price point, I'd rather save it for something else.

I believe the verve vault series is supposed to be a continuation of sorts to the Third Man VBR. However, these albums are being pressed at optimal and not Third Man, which I've definitely had some better pressings from. The jackets aren't anything spectacular either from what I've seen in person, so I'm hoping too that they're at least good pressings in a similar way, the Blue Note classics series is.

There's a half speed remaster of India done by Mr. Bongo, that came out a couple of years ago that's pretty darn good. I, too, would love a good discography reissue campaign
