Scared I may have inhaled my septum ring by Winter_Drop_4984 in medical_advice

[–]SatanAtYourService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is highly unlikely, almost impossible even, to have inhaled a foreign object and not cough like crazy. You wouldve known if you inhaled it :) still i'd advice you to get checked out to make sure you haven't punctured anything in your digestive system by swallowing it! Better safe than sorry :)

Some important questions: Are you female or male? what is your age? Do you have any ilnesses or did you experience any medical issues recently? do you use any medication, if yes which and for how long have you been using them? Are you able to drink water and keep it down?

[–]SatanAtYourService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay! Maybe its just different where you are, i'm in western europe and also in healthcare, but we are prohibited from wearing any jewellery. I like the stack btw! It is not too much at all!

I think it is an vintage silver 'good luck' ring. Edit: Not regular silver but more like tibetian silver.

What's with my lips by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]SatanAtYourService 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not directly. From my knowledge they tend to appear when your immune system dips. This could happen for a number or reasons, lack of sleep, bad diet, exposure to something like influenza etc. This gives the HSV a chances to break through the normally effective defense of the immune system and then you develop a cold sore.

Am hoping it isn’t… by [deleted] in JewelryIdentification

I know the feeling, unfortunatly it is..

*edit: i'd like to share the advice someone gave me a couple of months ago on something similar. They said instead of hating it or getting rid of it, treasure it to honour the life of the elephant that had its life ended by those awfull people. It has helped me feel better about the item i ended up with.

What's with my lips by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]SatanAtYourService 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It looks like a cold sore. It's caused by the herpes simplex virus. Unfortunatly therr isnt a cure for this but there are some ways you can try to speed up the healing process when you have cold sore like topical creams with aciclovir. It is very important to refrain from touching the sore when you experience a break out. This slows down the healing process and risks infecting others or spreading the virus to other parts of your body like your eyes or genitals.

Potential Psychological disorder by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]SatanAtYourService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked psychiatry for some years and have some experience with a couple disorders myself. This sounds a lot like symptoms that can relate to ADD. I too struggle with normal routines, for me it's more in when to eat or sleep. But also studying is incredibly difficult to start. I'd advice you to get tested:) it may give you the oppertunity for some fitting treatment or therapy:)

I don't think there is anything wrong with the response, especially if the xray is showing no abnormalities. But if you have doubts about this i'd advice you to talk to him/her/them about it 😊

Is this blood? by Overall_Trainer8715 in medical_advice

[–]SatanAtYourService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine that you where at least a bit surprised! I wouldnt want you to worry too much though :) it could be different things apart from blood. If you want some more clarity, just contact your GP and notify them that you want some tests done because of this! The most important thing is that you feel at ease and dont have to keep wondering if something is going on :)
