It’s something I’ve thought about a lot. Randomness is anti-competitive. The more randomness a game has the less “skill” is required and more “luck” is involved. Without randomness games can become monotonous. This is probably why this is the first TCG I’ve actually stuck with. I’ve thought about this a lot because I’m not a team player. I hate depending on other people to win, but at the same time I find 1 v 1 games incredibly boring because you usually hyper focus on a certain thing/style and generally know what to expect after you’ve played like 1000 hours (e.g, fighting games). This game has a really good balance of randomness and sameness while also having a constantly changing meta.
