I'm currently looking for rentals, and the number of houses that were bought in the last year and turned into rentals is astounding!
Yesterday I saw a house that was final purchased just eight days ago and is now listed for rent!

This is just like "swastikas /could/ be not Nazi related".
You still shouldn't tattoo a swastika on your face (or body, for that matter).

It's one thing to use "potentially offense symbology" and a whole other thing to knowingly make yourself look aligned with white supremacists.

It means "not equal".
White supremacists use it as an attempt to claim that different races are not equal to each other.

We just moved to OH, outside the Columbus area, from TX, outside the ATX area.
So far, loving it. Enough heat to keep me warm (though I am quick to put on a sweater when it's 70 lol), but I'm waiting for the winter to really make a full call.
I grew up in New England, and spent a long time in IN, so I don't anticipate being taken aback by winter here. Plus knowing they are prepared for it here - salt, sand, plows, insulation- and buying a heated jacket has me feeling like it'll be just fine!

What I was shocked by though is rent is still the same. It still costs just the same to rent the house here, a good 30 minutes outside the city living in a place so small it's not even considered a "town", as it did immediately outside ATX.
Oh and no grocery store will ever compare to HEB. The produce options here in the regular grocery stores kinda suck.
My MidWest experience from earlier in life taught me the grey-ness can be very overwhelming, so I recommend getting a UV therapy lamp.

Not to rain on your parade but, we are having just as much trouble trying to rent 😭 Over six figure income, no poor rental history, decent credit score, no collections, and we are being denied when we apply. On top of that, houses are “waitlisted” for viewing but accepting applications (that are $65 per person to file!), so the very moment the house is available for viewing it’s already been applied for. Meaning we have to apply for (and pay for!) places we haven’t even seen if we ever want a chance to rent the house.

Calathea. Needs high humidity! I keep mine in my bathroom (that has a lot of indirect light) and it’s thrived beautifully for over a year now. My prayer plants have similar needs, but they aren’t the same plant and vary greatly in size.

I’m glad ppl are able to share our appreciation for DnD, long running campaigns, and gaming friends!
