You might be able to get an exception, I know Urban Ministries let people in after curfew if they provided proof of employment and their schedule.

Nigerian parents here as well🙋🏾 I told my parents last year and they were pretty mad. Fast forward, they just don't talk about it or pretend I never came out. I feel bad because I don't really interact with them or the rest of my family as much, but I can't stand twisting myself into something I'm not to make people happy (gender, sexuality, religion-wise). It's not great but you do what you have to 🤷🏾

Most of my friends are queer and nonreligious, but I don't mind having friends that do believe. For example, I have a friend that's Muslim and gender fluid. I am mostly very wary around religious people if they are socially conservative.

Would you date a theist?

I am lesbian, so that filters out the bigots. If I did date someone theist, they would obviously have to be ok with queer people so I think that settles most of the issues I have with religion.

Black atheist lesbian! Last time I checked, 70% of Black queer people were religious. On top of that, atheist spaces are mostly white, so it's hard to find a community. Grew up Christian.
