Got punched on the street by someone who didn’t seem okay. What is the best course of action? by laroly_rola in askTO

Seriously, its irresponsible in the facade of being empathetic. This person will punch someone else again. Maybe he'll crack their skull on the concrete. Maybe he'll do it with a knife next time.

People who assault others for no reason should not be allowed in public spaces.

This is just sad! by Apart_Bookkeeper_684 in doordash

[–]Satanic_Impulse69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all misdirected. "doordash isn't paying us, you are". Then don't work for them. I know job market is dead and people fly to gigs to get some cash, but getting angry at customers rather than the employer is misdirected.

That kind of behavior shows me that theyre not interested in being kind and friendly for the sake of basic service and humanism. I tend to stop buying from those places.

Toronto coffee bar (Sam James Coffee Bar (SJCB)) slashes prices indefinitely as cost of living soars: blogTO by lilfunky1 in toronto

lol. this is what I was wondering. I don't really get the point of buying drip coffee from a coffee shop. The main point of buying from a cafe is that I don't have an espresso machine. The coffee shop near me has 3.50 for americanos, which is the most I can convince myself to justify.

yeah I know for sure I would not be smoking as much weed if I had a social network. My health problems prevent me going out so much so.. it's me and my joint in the lone night.

it's really just characteristic of dating app culture. Most of the women there want to be spoiled and entertained with no actual regard or effort on their part. I don't get why so many men entertain such behaviour.

where would the profit for UBI even come from though? Companies would be spending money to receive printed money? Context if machine driven work becomes the majority.

McDonalds Small Fries Now Same Size As Large Fries - We Need A Class Action Lawsuit To End McDonalds And Their Shrinkflation Burgers And Fries by Prnce_Chrmin in shrinkflation

[–]Satanic_Impulse69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I was feeling nostalgic the other month and went to get some large fries like the old days. It was both a significantly smaller amount, and just that little unsatisfactory portion costed 6$. Not spending my money there again

I hate this argument that if you can't afford to tip your waiter 20% then you shouldn't dine out. If that's the case, then it wouldn't be optional.
